Another beautiful day!

Sunday, May 30, 2010

Okay, it wasn't my best day. I didn't go over my calories/fats/proteins, I worked out, I meditated etc, etc. Unfortunately, my TO DO List just didn't fare well today.

How did I possibly manage to accumulated this much STUFF? is all I could ask myself. What was I thinking when I kept THAT? Who knows.

After the repeated strange questions for which I could provide many elaborate excuses (I means reasons, LOL) I decided to take the day off and and relax my mind. I've been working hard. So instead, I organized this next batch of goodies and neatly placed it all to one side. Mind you, not out of sight (UHU, UNH, UNH!), it doesn't fit into my healthier lifestyle just under my foot. After setting it aside, guess what? Another beautiful day. It will keep. I obviously needed a break, I've been moving at a good clip and this became my treat for today and it felt and feels wonderful. emoticon

Great! Guilt is what has always ruined my best intentions. When we take a day "off" occasionally and then get back to business it puts things back in perspective!

Enjoy the occasional guilt free vacation day then get going just like you did this weekend. You are doing fine!

I have a whole garage to go through- I am pacing myself- the closets are done- the kitchen is done the laundry room is partially done- we will get there!

Oh, how sweet it is!

Saturday, May 29, 2010

I tend to think about the big picture first and then work my way slowly through the smaller parts. I put myself on a maintenance level for while due to illnesses and injuries along the way. During recovery I noticed I wasn't putting on the muscle mass that I wanted, so I pulled back a little to rethink what I am eating and the exercises I do. Once I recovered I found myself stuck on a plateau. I could have cried 'Oh whoa am I", however, it just doesn't fit as well into my new thinking.

While I don't have time to list all the areas I am focusing in on...
1) I'm loving the depths of my new curves...I've always been curvy, but now they are more obcious...(still a work in progress because I haven't reached the actual weight goal I set originally and after several evaluations I'm going to keep as my goal)
2) I'm loving my revised environment...I took on the task of redoing my living space and 'lo and behold I do have more space than i did after decluttering (still a work in progress but the light at the end of the tunnel continues to get nearer and brighter each week)
3) I'm loving my new attitude...I've always been a positive, find the silver lining, type of person for I know that things could be worse, but they aren't so I must be doing something right (still a work in progress for there are still issues I am working on from my past that I do believe is changeable)

As a whole I'm loving the progress I have made, I'm loving my new thought processing...oh life, how sweet it is...and the best is yet to come, I can feel it! I hope everyone does as they move along their journey!

Hi, I like the way when things happened in life, you re-evaluated your goals and methods to achieve them. When life happens, it's easy to lose focus. You are an inspiration to me because, no matter what, you have stayed focused and positive. Thanks for sharing, this important message. emoticon

Ah, the power of NOW!

Thursday, May 27, 2010

So much time and energy dwelling on what happened yesterday...
So much worrying and toiling on what can happen tomorrow...

But ah, the power of NOW! What can I do NOW!

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” -- Reinhold Niebuhr

Pick the areas you want to work on and decide what you can do NOW...it all adds up in the end. No more wasting time and energy worrying and toiling. I can see what the results of doing nothing has done, I've seen that no matter how much I worry it doesn't get me to my goals faster...so seize each moment, and feel the power the NOW! emoticon

How quickly things can change!

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

This is just an off the cuff mental release today...

I don't know how many places experienced snow on Mother's Day, but we had it hear in Central New York. Today it was around 90 degrees. I do enjoy the sunshine, and warmth or snow and ice so just sending a request to the Big One upstairs, asking for babysteps in the weather changes. emoticon I actually like Spring!

Otherwise, a busy but productive day! emoticon

The more you do it, the easier it gets!

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. "--Aristotle

And I'm loving my new habits. While I seem to be stuck right now, darn plateau, I'm enjoying how much easier it has become to maintain the level I have reached and loving the new habits I have formed.
