Keep working hard to make a difference!

There always seems to be so many things that need to get done. It's no wonder that nothing gets done, it can be overwhelming. Just remember there's only 24 hours in a day, and you have to sleep, so there's only 16-18 hours to play with. Think of those 16-18 hours sitting on a plate and apply the healthy lifestyle rule of moderation. The more you pile on the plate the more you have to stress over. Do what you can in the time you have, take the time you need to do a good job and believe or not, it will build up your consistency to get tasks done and motivate you to keep working hard to make a difference as items are disappear off the plate.

Today turned out to be a more trying day that I thought when I woke up. It felt like so many other days before, I had my outfits picked out (workout and professional attire), my routine had been selected, MP4 charged with tunes. My break fast, breakfast and lunch had been planned and packed, the forecast was looking good (there's a reason I've invested in a treadmill, stepper, trampoline, stability ball, weights, jump rope, chin up bar, trainers to make my outdoor bike stationary emoticon-get the hint, I don't brave the elements; perhaps one day that will come). And as life would have it an emegency came up and everything changed.

You just have to love Lifecan Interruptus (my personal term for the things that keep life sometimes more than just a little interesting, and always unplanned). It took a bit of juggling, but the most important things were done, and the rest fell by the wayside and I'm here to fight another day...Make it (the priorities in your life) happen, the extra fluff stuff (the would be nice, but not necessary) will be there tomorrow.

    Absolutely right! You have to prioritize. I've been doing a lot of that lately and it is working. I'm getting the things done that I want to do.

The best way to make it happen is to plan. Plan the activities you need to include and exclude from your daily routine. I meditate in the morning and the evening, and find there are positive affirmations that I find I repeat often and make me feel wonderful and strong. I've been slowly building the words that feed my fire, my positive self-talk.

I've also come across some really nice, peaceful sounds (mostly nature sounds, no words) that help me focus.

Now to put the two together...something I will be able to use when I meditate and have the message repeat and feed my thoughts in the direction I want to go. Who knows, it may even be an alternative to music on my walks.

Ah, yet another tool in the arsenal to steer myself in the right direction. emoticon

I get lots done during the week and still I find I'm a weekend warrior (something I'm trying to correct as much as possible). I do a short meditation in the morning and in the evening to center myself, but I thought I'd share musical pieces I play after I get centered in the morning.     Very good! Music is great. I listen to it when I feel upbeat. Even when Iíve had a long hard day, I turn on my music. Itís just what we need to take us away from the world.
