Respect Yourself

Monday, March 30, 2009

The body talks to you...listen to it. It will tell you when things are going well and when it isn't.Sometimes in our haste to reach a goal, we sometimes miss the signs that tell you to be patient and take the time to relish each new level we reach. Respect yourself...no one knows you better than you do!

Always seek the beauty in and around you!

I pushed myself to get my workout done today...it was raining and really just wanted to enjoy the beginning of spring although the cold air makes me think of snow. It is helping to keep me inside and do some of the tasks I really like to put of until absolutely necessary. What a beautiful thing, rain...and before you know it the flowers will peak out, the trees will be filled with leaves and the grass full and plush...and I would prefer to be outside at that time.

Patience is a virtue

Sunday, March 22, 2009

How true that saying is....my computer has been acting so bizarre over the last few weeks I have not been on the site. I've been staying on schedule for the most part...a few slips here and there, and mostly with my eating. I've added this action item to my list: no skipping of meals because when I'm really busy or frustrated etc I tend not to overeat, but undereat. Today is one of those days....There's a lot to living healthy. I'm keeping up with my exercises, and I'm still soing well with my water intake. BABYSTEPS and patience...can't change everything at one time.

Embrace each new beginning!

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

OUCH!...I believe I overextended myself yesterday with the weights. We learn as we go, in one way or another. And my lesson from yesterday is that I need to work with two weight levels - the heavier weights first to exhaust the muscle and then one step down if I'm going to push for another set. My zeal to get back to the level I used to workout at is driving me. "If you can concieve it, you can achieve it," just don't forget the babysteps to build the right foundation because once you achieve it you want to be able to keep it. Thank goodness today, Terrific Tuesday, is a lighter workout day and I will focus on continued strengthening for the foundation of my plans.

Show the world your sparkle!

You are a masterpiece in progress...A lot of attention is placed on the outer appearance, but the inside is just as important. As I continue to make progress on bringing what the outside more in line with the picture I want it to be, along with finding the right MOVEMENT for alternate exercise days, it's time to go through the organizations I belong to -- my interests have always been so diverse and I have always liked that about me but it's time to make some changes in that area as well. Babysteps at this time of change will be crucial, as with so many things, to stay focused on what is most important to me...
