Love the skin you're in!

Monday, April 12, 2010

Don't wait til the last minute...for years I'd been carrying around extra baggage, and now that I've decided to shed some of the luggage, thought had to be given to what to do with the luggage carrier that I had draped over it all...I am having so much fun exploring oils -- grapeseed oil, jojoba, sweet almond, palm, coconut, peppermint, tea tree, apricot, olive oil, lavender etc.- and their skin application. Keeping in mind that the skin needs moisture and assistance to retain moisturized...I'm older than some of my other Sparklers and I need to be conscious of the fact that I will be losing fat and building muscle. My skin needs to be prepared for the transition. For women who have given birth, it's a little like the measures you took to prevent/minimize stretch marks, but in reverse emoticon. So pamper yourself and rub on the oils...it'll make you skin wonderful now and help to make sure you will love the skin you're in later. emoticon

Count me in!

Stand up for yourself...
make a statement about yourself, for yourself, from this second forward...
I want to live healthier
I deserve to be healthier
I'm here to take the steps to achieve a healthier me
I will learn what it means to be healthier
I will incorporate what I learn into my everyday life
I own up to my responsibility to do better
This is about and for me...

Count me in...I AM READY! emoticon

Change is a beautiful thing!

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Aaaahhh, the joy that shows on our faces when spring finally comes around...the birds are chirping, the naked tree limbs and the dry grass start to show signs of renewal, rebirth and visions of beautiful flowers opening up to greet us and instead of wanting to run into the house you yearn to be able to just run out and soak up the rays and even at night to feel the warm breezes dance with you...Change is a beautiful thing...embrace it! emoticon

Yes, it is because if we keep on doing what we've always done, we'll keep on getting what we've always gotten. We want to be better by doing better! emoticon

Master your possibilities!

Friday, April 09, 2010

Ever find yourself feeling that there's so much you want to get done, and there's just not enough time, you don't have the energy...then pick one, two or even three items and build consistency in those areas...Before you know it, your mind will start working on how you can incorporate those activities and get them done within the constructs of your life...so you want to do pushup -- you'll start seeing ways to do them at the kitchen sink, standing in your doorways, leaning against the washing machine/dryer, the coffee table, at the side/foot of your bed, the bathroom sink, the floor, the wall, your desk, your car, your sofa...it holds true for so many exercises...with time, you'll be able to fit in a workout that targets each part of your body...so go on, you can do it, you can master the possibilities! emoticon emoticon

A friend and I created a WunderWoman credo, and the first rule is, "I will not be overwhelmed by the magnitude of my task". How I get that to work for me is by taking a big project and dividing it into smaller, manageable chunks. So far, that plan has worked out pretty well for me. So, I totally agree with what you're saying.

Slow it down for long term results!

Thursday, April 08, 2010

Take the time to understand the reasons why reached the point you did...you know better than anyone the feelings you have about where you were mentally and physically when you started SP...peel the layers back slowly but tugging firmly and that way you can help to put into place what is needed to break the habit that has kept you where you are for so long...This slow thing works for exercising too, move slowly and deliberately for long term results.
