Step 1 to achieving anything is to conceive it- you see can see it, feel it, smell it, taste it. However, just closing your eyes and sitting there will not make it happen, you need to add action, Step 2, (learn about it, test the waters, establish a plan as to how to obtain it). Step 1 without Step 2 is just a dream; Step 2 with Step 1, you're still spinning your wheels because you don't know where you're going. Put the two together, and you're going places. So ask yourself, what do you want? Then ask, what do I need to do to get there, and what has been holding me back up to this point? Now, move the obstacles you can and take the first step towards SUCCESS...You were meant to succeed, now go for it emoticon

I read an article in the Daily Spark that one of the ways people in Japan stay trim is that they eat 30 different foods every day

that sounds interesting...I think I'm going to challenge myself and see what that looks like keeping in mind that I will have to use the trusty nutrition tracker, of course. I've been looking for ways to shake up my meal, this may do the trick...I like fun challenges!

    Gush, I don't think I could keep track of everything. I don't particularly enjoy tracking so that would be far to much for me. Ah well, it may just very well work. Keep all of us informed. Rusty.

Starting SP, I thought that was the beginning. Funny thing is after you've incorporated something new into your lifestyle like drinking 8 glasses or more of water a day, you haven't reached the end. And for each add there is always one more level you can go. For some that sounds like this is a never-ending journey, but what else is a journey, with each new step and each new hole in the ground you find and each new accomplishment, you are forever changed and done with self-love a positive change that drive you to ask questions that you never dared to ask before...and that is a good thing...So with each new effort it should be view as a baby learning to roll over, and then daring to want to take that first step, then another and yet another...this is just the beginning to new and wonderful things to come!

    You got it right! I am beginning to enjoy life again and know this is the way I want to be for the rest of my life. I want to be healthy and fit for myself, my family and my friends. I want to be able to help others, volunteer for the projects I enjoy. One step at a time. Hurray for all of us! Rusty.

    Absolutely! It's not the destination but the journey that seems to be the most important in life. So many people think that they'll be happy if only they can get this one thing or reach this one goal, but they get there and realize that they're still not happy. They whipped through all the adventures that happened along the way, missing the important parts.

I can tell that you're not going to miss anything along the way.

It's amazing for a few babysteps back to back will do for you...I'm losing the weight, I feeling more alert - HECK, I'm feeling happier across the board because I am taking the steps necessary to move ME in a more positive direction, the steps are helping me make good changes in other areas of my life...so hang in there everyone, it just gets bettter -- Looking and feeling better everyday is the way to go!

    I'm right there with you! I used to be all about trying to lose the most weight possible in the least amount of time, and I always - always - ran out of steam. Now I'm losing about 1-2 pounds a week, I'm eating right, I'm exercising regularly, and I'm feeling good about the long haul.
