Plan FOR LIFE!

This has been a longer journey than I originally thought it would be, and so much for the better. I thought I would just join, have a place where my information would be easier to handle because of the wonderful free tools, do some exercising and modify my eating a little here and there. I've hit against some of the usual walls, i.e., negative talk, injuries, illnesses, too much on the plate at one time, but as I would review my journal I came to realize that my reasons for taking so long is not excuse-driven but I am really learning to really love myself and, while not always easy to get through, I am enjoying the process of learning about myself. I read the articles and the posts, some I have re-read several times and will probably go through again to learn more from it, to help ingrain the info in my mind. I did not come here to go on a diet, whether you like to see it this way or not whatever you eat on a continual basis is your diet, you've literally been on a diet your entire life. I came here to change my lifestyle, my way of thinking and doing things. I am living for today, I am looking forward to tomorrow, but I am planning FOR LIFE!

Take the time you need to suck the marrow out of each step...PLAN FOR LIFE!

  We are on the same wavelength! I am reflecting on my life, goals, dreams and expectations I have for myself. There's nothing so painful yet healing than to examine oneself and see truths that we have buried from ourselves. I am taking this time to deal with me on all levels .... thanks for the insight

    How funny - I was thinking the same thing myself yesterday. I realized how much time I'd been investing with sparkpeople and discovered that it has changed how I look at things, how I move through life. It's like it snuck up on me, and I'm all the better for it.

There's this really neat list outlining how much you want to weigh within a certain time frame following the S.M.A.R.T. definition -- specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. However, life has a way of interjecting all sorts of things that require the schedule to be flexible; also requires that you are kind to yourself and show some flexibility -- I call it Lifeo Interruptus. I plan to make it to the finish line and I'm sure you do too, so take care of yourself and pamper yourself through the knocks using healthy methods...It can be done! emoticon

Underneath all the makeup, new hairdos, layers of clothing so no one will see even the smallest imperfection lies the TRUE you screaming to get out...It's part of that negative talk because try as you might you've seen that person, you feel and dream about that person...When you find yourself saying "I wish I...", know that you possess the power to release that person, so dare to find the TRUE you! emoticon

Cleaning up my act!

Life is about living, and living mean action. I do a little bit here and there and usually feel satisfied with what I have accomplished in a day. Over the last year I have been experimenting with foods, exercises, organizing and reorganizing my space to make it more effective and to become more productive. The goal this weekend is to pull some of my efforts together and clean up my act even more - the decluttering of my life has left some clean spots and has helped me to focus on areas that need to be pulled together...sounds like a wonderful project for the weekend.
