Life is meant to be enjoyed...so have at it!

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Find some fun in everything you do...there's nothing like whistling while you work (or sing out loud) to make the time go by more quickly and reduce stress...Life is meant to be enjoyed, so have at it! emoticon

I meant to mention in the first comment to you tonight that I have that as a goal also. Say yes to the good activities you wish to include in your life, pass on the negative stuff (if at all possible) particularly when it's outside of work.

You are not alone!

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

When you're feeling down, take a moment to connect to someone and find the answer to the question, Am I the only one? Just take a look around...so many people, all so very different is so many ways and yet we end us wanting basically the same things! Here on this site alone, the number of people looking for the same thing; a whole army of people looking to learn and to teach...so when you feel lost, remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE...you never have been nor will you be! All you have to do is reach out and you will touch and be touched by someone...help is never far away! emoticon

So true, don't be afraid to ask others. And its free. I was really feeling down, didn't realize just how much until (as I mentioned in my previous comment) I started writing/blogging to other people.

Makes a big difference, doesn't it?

Pick your challenges!

Monday, January 25, 2010

Rome wasn't built in a day, and it took a long time to get where I am...so I'm picking my challenges on a daily basis and anything more that can be done in a day is gravy. It will happen!

Amen to your statement. I am picking my "battles" also. I can't change myself over even in a few weeks. I am referring to all the tracking and documenting. I can only handle physical habits, drinking, moving, sleeping. But I am getter there.

Something that is really helping is learning how to blog. This has been very beneficial mentally and spiritually. I particularly am happy with sharing my thoughts on the last two blogs. If you have a moment, would so appreciate your reading them and sharing your thoughts back.

It really is like writing "letters" back and forth. Hearing others thoughts is crucial in this process.

emoticonwith that attitude. Being able to say I did well with what I achieved today is great. Too many people beat themselves up for not doing more and so defeat themselves.

Victory Cry!

Sunday, January 24, 2010

Just wanted to share my victory cry...

"I have not yet begun to fight"-John Paul Jones

Not everything is learned from books, and as I continue to move from reading to putting into practice each lesson deserves a cry that reflects the energy put into and generated from the process.

Own your journey!

How does the children's song go...

This land is your land
This land is my land...
This land was made for you and me...

Take claim to what is rightfully yours, the right to be healthy and feel whole then feel the freedom that comes with it. emoticondoesn't even come close to how you can feel.

During the Great Depression when that song was written and sung, the composer, Guthrie, was jailed and his song was banned from being performed on radio stations across American. That was so long ago. It didn't die among the tent towns across the states though. Peter, Paul and Mary picked it up in the 60's, became a classroom favorite and the rest is history.

This land was made for you and me. emoticon emoticon

I got a lot of kids to sing that song. Something happened along the way with me though....Busy reclaiming what's mine.

Thanks for reminding me. emoticon
