Day 1 evaluation

Yesterday went well...I already know of a change...upper legs workout with glutes would probably be a better matchup...will continue with the current schedule all week though. Initially I intended to separate them to try and isolate better...Huh!Well see by the end of the week!

Monday, January 12, 2009

MWF- Shoulder, Chest, Glutes, Biceps, Lower Leg plus aerobics
TThS- Abs, Upper Leg, Biceps, Back, Forearms plus aerobics
Sun - Stretches/Yoga/Pilates plus aerobics

Forst week will be easy going -- nothing higher than 5lb weights

This feels good...will evaluate after first week on mix!

New exercise schedule will be put into effect...goal to focus on muscle building! Identified exercises , although still playing with which day. Aerobics will still of the agenda.

Going back over a few SP articles, ARE YOU CHEATING YOURSELF AT THE GYM and CHOOSING THE RIGHT WEIGHTS, to make sure I'm taking everything in.

I began 2008 wanting to lose weight among other things. I found SP and initially began using the site primarily because of the consolidated tools available. It has provided so much more! I pulled together all the info I had compiled pulling it into the trackers etc, joined teams and participated on challenges and by the end of 2008, I had gone from 159 lbs to 139 lbs. == definitely not on the schedule set where I would have reached 125 lbs by Nov 2008 but I had lost 20 lbs. and happy with the results. The challenge became if I wanted to go any further. My last consistent weight was 125 and that's where I thought I should go back to ...but I am no stranger to 140 which was my previous consistent weight before I was 125.

The goal for the last week of Dec and 1st week of Jan was to decide if I wanted to move my goal. While the weight is gone, I noticed that I need to build muscle mass. I have not put on as much muscle mass as I thought I would have by now.

The challenge now is selecting the exercises that will maximize my efforts to build muscle and modify the amount of aerobics and have become comfortable with. In a way, it is almost ironic because muscle will add weight and move me back up the scale but I want to see definition not just a reduction.

The game is afoot...and I plan to achieve my goals.
