Life is constantly changing, and while change is not always welcomed with open arms, it does keep life interesting. I look back and see some of the changes, and wonder how I did it but the answer is simple, never stop planning and don't lock yourself in. When the wind changes, I had to adjust, be ready to steer the ship when needed to keep me on the path I wanted. Designing my healthy lifestyle has shown me the same applies here, try all different types of exercises, some will be your favorites others will not so collect a lot of different styles to fit into your changing schedule--a list of exercises for every occasion, preparing for the 'What ifs" that come along (so you'll end up with lying, standing, sitting, in motion, isometric, with and without equipment exercises, with and without a partner). The same holds true for food. Transform from a fixed to a continuous planning mode...and stayo n the cutting edge, ready to change with the wind!
