When the going gets tough, the tough keeps going!

Thursday, July 16, 2009

I've heard it and said it several time...it's not how many times you fall down, but how many times you get up that counts. When you run into a brick wall, take another approach you may be surprised how many ways there are to accomplish the same task...always keep your wits about, find the humor in life (it's there!), and plow a new road if you have to...I'm really enjoying the dancing as part of my cardio, perhaps because it carves out time for me and music, puts in a place I want to be and a place that makes me feel I can do anything....When the going gets tough, the tough (finds a way) to keep going!

Congratulations!

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Just taking a moment to appreciate the positive changes I have undertaken and looking forward to challenging myself more. The path has had some bumps along the way, but that is life and with each step hopefully I am learning and taking each lesson to the next task. And so to everyone, CONGRATULATIONS for taking the challenge on and staying with it even when there's always the easier way out and do nothing. It does add up! CONGRATULATIONS! emoticon

"Master the mysteries of your motivation"

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Another great SP article today addressing the issue of attitude and it's impact on success and taking responsibility for our actions... First day down to my new challenge--the thought of going through the process and CHANGE did not have any impact on how much I smoke, or throw my regular routine (eating, water, exercise) out of whack...Ah, sweet mystery of life! It is by I'm mentally gearing up for what I will learn from this experience in addition to quitting--just part of mastering the mysteries of my motivation...with each new lesson I then can start learning how to promote other positive actions and cushion myself again the negative...Looking forward to it! Onward and upwards!

Someday = Today

Monday, July 13, 2009

I started today with a completely different mantra, at least I thought so until my the first SP article I read brought it all home. As I take my babysteps, I had added the plan to stop smoking to the forefront. The goal is make today the first day of forever. The journal is being amended to include a section about my smoking habit...when, where, why! From there, the babysteps will begin. I promised myself I will not go over what I have written the first 2, maybe 3 days - when I'll have something to compare days and events to. I've always been told if I can workout at the level I do and smoke, just image what I could accomplish if I didn't! Onwards and upward!

    Good for you. As you realize, it's one baby step at a time. We know you will succeed.

Adopt the pace of nature, be patient!

Sunday, July 12, 2009

Sunday, the beginning of the new week, is always a time to practice patience. So many actions that need to take place, some at the planning stage others need to be implemented and still more to followup/followthrough on. Today, I took it outside and allowed to feel the warmth of the sun and gentle breezes take it light. Today's workout is very light, with a lot of stretching for flexibility which was nice doing outside as well. Amazing to watch the give and take between nature, now to learn to adopt this in my own life.
