Take the time to do it right, this is for you!

I took the time to go back through my journal to...so many changes and I'm sure others to follow. The goal is to make this a healthy LIFESTYLE, and while I won't be able to take everything into consideration (striving for my newly defined level of excellence, not perfection) I am enjoying pulling my life apart to see what's ticking...getting rid of as much of those things I don't need or want as possible, and adding items like consistent exercise, eating etc. The journey is far from over...my hurt foot/leg was a result of not taking the time to do it right. While pain is a great motivator, I'd rather limit the amount I inflict upon myself...so I'm taking heed and babystepping-taking the time to did it right.

Getting back on track after a day of chaos, but the energy is proving to have been worth it...Now, onwards and upwards!

There's always one way to reach a goal...never give up...dreams become a reality through actions, you'll be amazed what you will discover. I'm learning something new about myself everyday and whether I'm happy about what I see or not, taking the time to put action plans in place to handle it or celebrate. Exercising, eating properly and staying hydrated is always on the menu (yesterday was first time in a long time that I fell short but back to normal this morning. I'm staying on it!

It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, it's how many times you get up that counts! Today my eating was really off - no worried...I'm back and ok with it--there was a reason for the distraction today...lesson learned and now moving on!

Well I've been rather amazed with myself. One of the nutrients that I tend to overdo is SODIUM...it's everywhere along with sugar. For the last month I have been incorporating more beans/bean dishes in my diet...and using dry beans to boot. It has been a bit time consuming, but it has also made me focus and reclaim some of my time...in addition to cutting out the sodium that comes with canned beans, it's really helping me with my protein and my fiber -- so much that I stopped taking my fiber supplement ( emoticon even though it was a chewable, I don't like pills in any form unless absolutely necessary). Now the focus is to get and keep my magnesium and potassium up...Little by little, my healthy lifestyle is climbing up the ladder! emoticon

    I recently discovered dry beans too - it's amazing what you can do with them, and I especially love using them in the CROCKPOT! It just requires planning which I was never very good at - but am learning :)

As with many, my journey to a healthier lifestyle has hit a few rocks. It would have been easy to throw my hands into the air and surrender, but I didn't start this journey on a whim. It was something that had been on my mind for a while. For me, progress was the only option...I'm still pulling items together and will always be in one phase or another because the world changes but without excuses...PROGRESS IS THE ONLY OPTION!
