Here we go again-WooHoo!

Thursday, June 04, 2009

I'm jumping the gun today, but both my foot and leg have been feeling preettty good today...but I'm still going to give myself another 2 days or so more rest time and pace myself through my workout...I'm so ready to go back to a full intense workout...I must admist while I enjoy all the exercises I have on my schedule while I've been in PAIN-mode I've also been trimming down my schedule...I went from being sedementary to tornado in what was probably faster than I should have...I thought my judgment was staying on point, but as I mentioned in an earlier blog, I've never seen myself as having a weight problem...the heaviest I'd ever been was when I was pregnant and the fact that I was getting close to that weight helped to make the decision that I needed a change. So I will be starting over in some respects (lighter weights etc) to ease each part back where it belongs. Barring any setback...I'll be back on track come Monday. emoticon

Prepare yourself!

Taking it easy today, something for every body part...yesterday was a full workout with weights but today using my body weight as resistance. Put that together with more mental work will round out my day -- preparing myself on all fronts!

Some people pursue happiness, others create it!

Monday, June 01, 2009

As my leg continues to recover-- actually feeling pretty good today--and the foot pain over...I'm taking my time in creating the happiness I deserve with what I have learned. The key is balance, which one knows when it has been achieved...Today is about continuing to strive for that balance and feeling so close I can taste it.

Take Action-stop sitting on the bench!

Saturday, May 30, 2009

Today is going to be another day of rest, which according to many is not the case, but I'm doing what I can to stay active and still pamper my foot. I know I am doing the best thing for my foot/leg, but how I have been feeling like I've been sitting on the bench through the recovery phase--more seated and lying exercises for today.

The biggest challenge comes from within!

Thursday, May 28, 2009

With each day, my foot is feeling better. Now that I have found my love for exercise again, the challenge is to hold back my desire to just jump right back in...but healing is not complete recovery ad still stay busy...Indeed, the biggest challenge comes from within. Light workout scheduled for today, thank goodness!

What you are talking about is balance. Sometimes, I do too much and end up pulling a muscle. At the same time, there are times I don't push myself enough and don't make the most out of my workout. It can be hard to always to know exactly where to fit in.

Eventually, you'll figure it out. The good thing is that you're back in the game and doing something.
