One of the tasks asked of the members is to list the reasons why I joined the challenge. I know that sugar, salt and fats are big ingredients in the foods that surround me, and why I can track salt and get a good idea about the amount of fat I consume, sugar and all it's new forms blow my mind sometimes. The link below sheds light on why I am so concerned about the amount of sugar I consume, including the artificial sweeteners that are added to foods that's not accounted for on the nutritional label.

If you think you don't have an addition...think again and it's everywhere. The limit for daily sugar consumption is no more than 25 grams per day, and I can consume almost that much in one fruit smoothie. It's definitely time I take this more seriously...hence the challenge!
So, inline with one of my favorite quotes:
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face." -Eleanor Roosevelt
The challenge is ON!
