Feeling better finally

Well I am finally feeling better, was able to ride my bike to the gym yesterday and did a spin class visited with friends then rode my bike home. This morning got up early and was at the gym for 7:30am spin class , 45 minutes and then did 60 minutes of yoga class, rode my bike to the library and back. I hope to go for a run this evening I need to start training again , have a race on the 17th of October another 5k. I haven't been able to run for well over a week. I am going slow on the exercise though it may not seem like it to most, dialed down the intensity hope to get back to 'normal' soon.

One week of not exercising ,well not much.

Well it has been a week since I worked out. I babysat a week ago tonight and have not felt great since, had some sort of bug and was babying myself all week. I hope to get to the gym tomorrow to start back a bit slower than I usually workout. wanted to go today but was afraid I would work out too hard and have a set back. I have ridden my bike each day to the library and back ( only 2 miles ) this week so have moved a little bit. My weight is up, but that is what happens when I don't exercise though food has been healthy it has been my calories count for when I exercise. I am looking forward to feeling well. I am tired of feeling so weak and pale.

    Good for U knowing not to push the exercise yet. I'm not that smart! LOL! But U are right, riding your bike to the library @ least got U moving. Hope U are better 2day.

2nd 5k race was today

I ran my 2nd 5k race today. It started at 7:30 am, I was the heaviest woman in the race and I ended up coming in near the end but I made my goal of cutting my best time by a minute ! I am proud of myself. I have been sick to my stomach for a couple of days now and about 400 yards into the race I told myself I could quit then I saw my friend Pechy standing on the sidelines cheering me on and I thought ( she would not quit ) pechy has been running about a year and is training for her 1st marathon and has taken over 120 pounds off . I thanked her as I ran by and kept going for the entire race though my conversation in my head kept going and I continued feeling sick , my friend Lisa Miller ran the last 400 yards with me after completing her race, she would have walked with me if that is where I had been but I said " LETS GO " and we ran and I ran hard over the finish line. IT IS A GREAT FEELING TO SUCCEED!

    That is SO AWESOME PJ! Sorry your tummy was funky. How amazing U did the race anyway & completed it. 1 of my sayings in my signature spot on my profile says, "The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves".

STronger yet again!

Well I have low energy today , and it makes sense that I do since I have been working out hard most days and did so every day this weekend. Today I went to the gym and made myself do a little cardio, and weights. I found I am stronger again today than I was a couple of months ago! I lifted 350 pounds in the seat leg press! YEAHAW!
I have my 2nd and next 5k on Saturday , will do my last training run before the race tomorrow morning.

Rest and and Regeneration day

I worked out hard and many times yesterday, 2 spin classes weights and a flex and tone class then ran/walked my 5k course last night in the heat again. Was exhausted and my back was screaming but I got it done and it did not suck!
lol Today I did yoga but it will be a rest and regeneration day on the whole going home to read a book and eat lunch soon. Race day is tomorrow , 7pm. Think of me.
