I am so nervous but I am signing up for my first half marathon. That might seem easy to some people but I thought I would never go above a 10K but I am. I let someone talk me into the Disney half in January so I have plenty of time and lets face it...Disney rocks...so I should be fine. I started my training today. My plans are to run 3 times a week for about 3-5 miles. Then, over the weekend, I want to build my long distant running. So I plan on taking one day over the weekend, probably Sunday because that is my free day, and run between 5-10 miles. By the time December hits, I hope to be running between 10-13 miles on Sundays.
To those who have done half and full marathons, is this the best way to go? Any advice?
