This month my FabFit team is doing a marathon challenge. We are challenged to do 26.2 miles either on foot with walking or running or on the elliptical. Some of us are aiming for 100 miles. Anything over 26.2 can be on a bike also.
As our leader states, to do a marathon seems like a huge goal, but to break it down mile by mile, it is a doable goal to get one done in one month. Just like we lose one pound at a time to get to our ultimate goal. We CAN do this!
I am looking forward to logging 100 miles and am going to try my best to do it all on foot. As of 10-5-11, I have just over 20 miles in!!
I have some awesome spark friends that live in my area and we meet on a regular basis. Wednesday evenings we meet at a local school track and Saturday mornings, we meet at a different school track for walks/runs. This past week, we have met on other days to walk together and get our mileage in.
RUN2MYDREAMS and LEAH57 and my regular partners. They are rocking the miles right along with me and I treasure our friendship and time together. We are a determined group of gals! Occasionally, we have other friends join us and hope to continue to add more to our walking group. Anyone in the area is welcome, whether you are on the FabFit team or not :-)

We are all signing up for various races too, the next one all of us are doing together is the Hot Chocolate 5K in DC on December 3rd, but we have Pumpkin races and Turkey trots and others in between.
We are going to ROCKTOBER! (thanks for that awesome word TIFFYFANNY!)
