This is my little garden. Not as big as in prior years, but it will be fine for us. Here is Meghan tilling it. We rented a tiller and took turns doing it, when one got tired, the other took over for awhile.
Here are some of our tomatoes, in our colorful tomato cages :-)
Then we have red, orange, yellow and several hot peppers
Then we have some green beans, spaghetti squash, lemon cucumbers and zucchini
We fertilized it all yesterday and now just have to wait for the plants to grow!

I was so saddened to get the call this morning and hear that our dear sweet Lori (Little_Queen) had passed away overnight. We knew she had been sick but had heard she had a good day the day prior and were hopeful that things would start to turn around for her.
I know she touched every soul that was fortunate enough to know her. She was so encouraging, so inspiring and such a good friend to so many of us.
Almost 4 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Lori, along with Pixie, Star, Veronique and a few other spark friends no longer on the Rootin' for Ruby team. We met in Annapolis and spent the afternoon chatting away and we all had lunch together. Many of us brought our children and my daughter Meghan so enjoyed meeting Lori's daughter Emilee. Below are some of the pics that I had posted in my blog of our meeting that day, May 16th, 2010. It was a day I will never forget and in the past 2 weeks Lori had spoken of wanting to have another meet up like that again. We were so happy she was back on SparkPeople and doing better and able to see, type and participate again. She was a brilliant shining star and so sweet and we were so happy to have one of our team leaders back again.
This was the whole group of us that day.
This was our kids who enjoyed getting to know one another as us adults chatted
And this was our beloved Lori with Pixie and me
There are no words to express the sorrow and sadness I feel knowing Lori is gone. I've spent the morning in tears as I'm sure many of her friends have.
You are gone now Lori, but you will never be forgotten. We are all better having known and loved you and we will miss you terribly.
RIP my dear Spark friend. Continued prayers for your family.
