First Challenge

October 1, 2008... the YMCA declared a challenge to Cross Canada 6566 KM, by March 1, 2009. For each 15mins of cardio, either using elliptical trainer, treadmill or stationary bike, 25KM is credited. A 45 minute water class is 30mins/50KM.

I decided since I was just getting back into the practice of going to the gym... and since I was really very nervous and embarrassed while I was there... that a challenge, would be a good way for me to get motivated and stay on task. I originally, told my husband that I would be happy with just completing the challenge within the allowed time... and that I was only using it as a personal goal.

Am I ever glad that I decided to do this!! With 14 weeks still left to the challenge... I am only 66 KM shy of the finish line. I am amazed with myself... am starting to feel like the person I once was. I do remember this person!

    WoW!! emoticon, I am so happy that you got your life back on track. It take courage and Strength to put up with abuse NO woman should ever.. NOONE for that matter.
I was a victim myself and God helpped me get out of that.
