Took a couple days off

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

So last week it was really rainy here in Boise. So because of that I did not run on Wednesday and I only went on a hike on Thursday. Saturday was Race for the Cure and I took Mother's Day off. I could really tell today that I was missing a little spring in my step. This just shows that I need to stay on pace for my half marathon if I am going to make it.

On a good note. I have a ton of positive reinforcements from just about everyone in my life. My older brother and sister, both runners. And everyone at my work. I have a 10K in a week and it is out of town and most of my co-workers are going to come and cheer me on!!!!

Great day

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

I had the best run. It was only 2 miles today, but I felt like I could do another. Today, after my run I looked at my workout. I am doing a C25K and I ran for 6 min, walked for 1 min, ran for 4 min, walk for 1 min, and ran for 6 min. I almost cried especially since I felt like I could continue. This was such a victorious day.

I am training for a half marathon and today I felt like this was possible. That is such a great feeling.

My Stretching buddy.

The beautiful day.

A down day!

Friday, April 19, 2013

Today, I did not do anything just yet. Yesterday, I found out that my Grandpa had passed away. I could not sit still so I went for a long run and today I just needed a little break. I am not certain that I will not do anything. Just nothing right now.
Also I have been watching the news for the last couple of hours and I am just thanful for everyone that is safe right now.

What a sad day!

Monday, April 15, 2013

Just a few days ago, I saw on my bucket list that I wanted to run a half marathon. I am currently in the training for that half marathon and I thought, I could run a full marathon. I love Boston and running the Boston Marathon was the first one that I thought of. This breaks my heart to think that someone took something so great and turned it into something so horrible. Today I ran and the whole time the runners in the race where on my mind. Especially, that 8 year old. That child was most likely there for a mother, father, brother, sister, or other family member. That family member will never forget that that child was there for them.

I agree, so sad. Nobody deserved this, especially that poor little girl.

Such a sad event, God please be with that city and everyone affected by the tragedy. So sad that as a Nation we cannot enjoy the activities that we like without being on guard. I just don't know what someone could possibly get out of doing such a horrific thing.
A sad sad day once again in America......

What am I thinking!

Thursday, April 11, 2013

Today, just 2 weeks into my C25K workout, I decided to set a goal to run a half marathon. I have run in the past never anything that long, but I love to run. Best part is that my body loves to run. After a good run, I feel great. I have a few sore muscles the next day, but no aches and pains in my joints.
I am not sure why things have changed recently, but I am motivated. Despite not wanting to I even will get up and get a workout in. I have not been this motivated in a long time and I know that this will last.
I am doing this for me this time. I am doing this race for me. I want to be better and I want an achievement before my 30th Birthday.
