Going to get some answers

Monday, December 26, 2011

Hubby has had some heart issues and it is time that we get some answers. Going to a specialist that should be able to give us the answers. So I will be gone for awhile but will be back. Just in case I am not back by the 6th I want to wish 2BMYOWN a very special Happy Birthday.

Aaaaawwww, thanx, Pink, you're such a dear, thinking about everyone else when you're going thru so much yourself. I think you are an angel, really. Keeping hubby and you in thoughts and prayers in a big way, and hoping that you will get some positive answers when you see the specialist. God bless, sparky bud, keep us posted. emoticon

HO HO HO

Wednesday, December 14, 2011

I pick the hardest times of the year to make things happen but I knew if I waited until after the holidays it would just make things harder. So this week has gone well the scale is moving in the right direction. When I lose 2 more pounds I will start to work out. Right now I am walking and eating well. I have promised DH some cookies for Christmas by far not the baking I use to do. I may make a nut bread for Christmas.
This is a new lifestyle for life.

And yep, the season doesn't help.....seems like everyone is hellbent on passing the goodies around at work. LOL Hope you guys have an awesome holiday season and I'm keeping your hubby in thoughts and prayers in a big way!

Good luck! I know it's tough this time of year, but for every pound you take off now or don't put on is a bonus for next year. Have fun and enjoy!

A bumpy start to a New Year

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

It is all ready late February . My husband came home sick on Christmas Eve and it all started to snowball. A small bug went into a sinus infection that lead to a cough that put him out of work for near a month and now after seeing 5 specialist he still has the cough but one Doctor thinks it may be one of his medicines. So now we are going to put on hold any other test until we give this a try. I feel so sorry for him he coughs all day long hard to the point of gasping some times. A night he can get some sleep but it is not good sleep for I am feeling the lack of that too.
We have agreed to eat a steady healthy lifestyle no matter what. Getting sick this year and not eating as healthy as we had the last few years may have played a small role in all this. It is not worth seeing all the wonderful plains we had for this year slip away for medical bills.
The best thing is that he see that healthy eating is more important now.

Thanks 2B, 1healthyctndi and Sandy Bruno, We will try the Vic's he been fighting me on that one why he hates it so I don't understand. I put some on a cloth and hung it off the bed post and that even helps me at night with a cold.
I can not use it on feet they blister.
The latest is one doctor thinks it could be one of his medicines so we are changing that one.
Thanks again.

Keeping you both in thoughts and prayers, Pink, I'm telling you....there are some absolutely wicked bugs running around out there this year. I can't tell you how many people I know who have been down sick and it's hung on forever and a day, and several of them are young folks who usually rebound quickly. But on the up side, I'm really glad he's seen the benefit of following a healthier lifestyle. I have to say it really DOES make a difference, especially with your immune system. Hopefully he'll get over this soon and be able to finally get back to 100%. Poor guy.....and poor you! Hugs, gf!

I'm so sorry for your husband. I don't know if this will work or not but it might be worth a try. It always works for my family. You put some Vic's vapor rub on the soles of his feet and it normally will stop a cough.

Big Motivation

Thursday, March 18, 2010

I went to the doctor for a normal check up and he found some issues with a blood test. I came home and read up on what all this could mean. I did not think they would come out positive which they didn't. This has gotten me back to Sparks, logged in and working the program in a big way.
I called my husband and told him the good news about the test and that if I cut out eating our late night snack of popcorn and Pepsi I will loss weight. I fix healthy food all day long and then blow before bedtime. That is not going to happen anymore for me. If he wants to eat that stuff fine. This time it is all about ME! All about getting healthy and never doing this all this again. The old style of eating is just not worth going through all this no matter how much I love the other person that wants that pizza or hot dog , popcorn and Pepsi I am eating a healthy.
next year I want to wear a shirt that say BODY BY SPARK PEOPLE

Sorry your tests didn't come out great, but glad to have you back on board. Losing weight for you and doing what you want for your health is a great thing. You are on the right track.

Four legged insurance for weight loss

Monday, December 28, 2009

Meet Sam he is 9 weeks old today..
I am sure that he is going to get a lot of credit for my weight loss. I have all ready bent down to the floor a hundred more times than I would have without him.
In a few days we will start walking up and down the street and then we head to the park.
I said my start date is Jan 2. I think it may have all ready begun.
