These first 2 pictures were taken on 5/1. I had been exercising & eating good for 6 weeks. The scale had not been kind - I weighed the same as I had when I started. I remember when I saw these. I THOUGHT I looked better than this but in reality I still had a lot of work to do. 5' 3 1/2" & 150 was not ideal for me.
So I kept at it. I kept working out. I did my Jillian dvds until I couldn't stand her anymore. I started running. I started lifting weight with ChaLean Extreme.
So, here I am now (These were taken this Wednesday & Thursday):
Those are my size 6 jeans I am so proud of.
And here's one more:
I'm not sure what kind of a difference everyone will see in my before & afters. I know I definately don't think I look like that squishy girl in the too-tight size 10s.
Thanks again everyone for always encouraging & supporting me. I really wouldn't have come this far without my Spark Friends.
If you haven't yet heard you must be living in an uncivilized jungle cause I've been announcing it every where I go.........I've lost 25.1 lbs!!!!!!
Tonight I'll ask Natalie to help me get my new pictures downloaded & get my old measurements together so I can do an appropriate 6 month blog, oh yeah, cause today is officially 6 months.
You might think this is funny:
I went out to run this morning & was wearing an old pair of underwear. The kind that has lost a lot of the elastic. They would not stay up on top of my cheeks, if you know what I mean. So I ran home to change them. They were literally bunched up under my voluptuous rear end.
Why do I have such a hard time throwing out old underwear? I buy new ones but I keep wearing the old holey, no elastic ones too.
Jay told me they were a little tight around my backside but I don't care. I'm wearing them today. Plus, now that I've had them on for a little while they've losened up (thanks to that strech they put in them). I dare say, THEY ARE A PERFECT FIT.
I am stoked today & living in the clouds. The scale has dropped 3 lbs this week. That is not normal for me at all. I say it's due to cutting my calories back down to the 1400 area. I'll eat 1600-1900 when I'm comfortable with the amount of fat I'm storing in the caboose & thighs.
Tomorrow marks my 6 month Spark anniversary. I've had Jay & Natalie take some pictures the last couple of days (including these jeans!) so I'll try to get a blog put togther to celebrate. It may take awhile cause our computer isn't exactly great with pictures, but I will work on it.
My exercise minutes are down this week. I had a bad hip due to the improper shoes I was running in 11 miles a week. I think it's rested enough now so today I did CLX & I'm going to hit the pavement tomorrow in my new RUNNING shoes.
9/12: CLX Burn Circuit 2 & Burn Intervals
9/13: Jog 46 minutes
9/14: CLX Burn Circuit 3 &Jackie Warners Power Circuit Training
9/16: CLX Push Circuit 1
9/17: Turbo Jam Fat Blaster & 15 min Jog
9/18: 4 miles 43:45
That's my weekly wrap up.
There is exactly 5 weeks till that 10k. I gotta get ready! I'm going to shoot for 5 miles on Monday.
Annie - I'll change my background back. I'm glad you like the pink polka dots. I've got to go now, busy day ahead.
Love you guys!
I started CLX on 8/18 & my first measurement day was yesterday.
Starting weight: 132.9. Durning the month I was as low as 128.5 but I ended with 129.2. Total loss of 3.7 lbs. I guess I really do know that around 4 lbs a month is going to be good for me from here on out.
Right Arm: -.5
Left Arm: -.5
Right Thigh: -.75
Left Thigh: -.1.25
Body Fat %: -1.5%
I also kept track of a couple of measurements I wanted to see some shrinkage in.
Just below the Belly Button: -2.25
Just above the Right Knee: -1
Just above the Left Knee: -.5
Right Calf: -.75
Left Calf: -.75
That is a total of 11".
Wow! I like those tape measurement numbers. Forget the scale. I lost 11" in one month!!!!
And did you see that fat pooch that sits below the belly button? Down 2.25"! You have got to be kidding me. Chalene's got it right. Muscle Burns Fat. I've got 2 more months to complete this program & I am excited to think about what changes are ahead for this body of mine.
I wish I had measured my ankles (or should I say CANKLES). Natalie mentioned last night that even they are looking skinnier.
I Chalene Johnson
Next Thursday marks my 6 month Spark anniversary. I am planning on putting up new progress pictures & maybe even a few before pictures. We'll see how brave & confident I'm feeling.
Tomorrow is Natalie's 15th birthday & we are planning on going to St Louis to an ice skating rink. I haven't been in years so I'm really looking forward to this. I'm sure we'll eat out for lunch & dinner since it's so far of a drive. Wish me luck that I don't overdo it.
She wanted to make cupcakes to bring to school with her today. She's no Betty Crocker. But it was important to her that she do it all herself. She choose the FunFetti cake mix! I remember her getting that when she was 7. Anyway, she did it all. I was only there to offer advice. Like how it's ok to put both pans in the oven at the same time, lol, & such. I got her a can of icing & she put extra sprinkles on top. She's 15 going on 30 going on 7. So funny. It worked out good she did it all herself because it kept me from licking the bowl.
(Lick the bowl. Does anyone else use that phrase when they make cakes, cookies, brownies? My brothers & I used to fight over who got to "lick the bowl". Now my kids do. It seemed so normal growing up but right now that phrase is sounding hilarious to me. Can you picture a grown woman with her face in a glass bowl, licking it! )
You know what? Even if I had licked the bowl it wouldn't mean the end of the world because I'll Never Give Up!
