There was a lot going on in our lives for a little while there but now no matter what is going on my trying to be that role model again. The boys were pretending to workout today while I was. It was very cute.

I just saw a picture of me on my spark page wearing my size 12 jeans after working out with Spark people after my first son was born. I think I might find time to get them out today and see if they fit. Well if I have time after all the laundry I have neglecting. At least I didn't forgo my workout this morning to fold it all up. That in my eyes is making procress.

Keeping happy

Thursday, January 31, 2013

On days like today I would have given some reason not to workout. But I found a Balliwood workout on Spark so I did that one this morning. They even tell you to smile. It was lots of fun. I do feel better and not so tired now.

working out

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

I'm really hoping that my working out will help Dh start up again. He was going good for about a week and stopped. He let things get in the way. He was surprised when the kids asked him if he was going to work out after I went to work on Saturday. I guess only seeing each other for about an hour a day I didn't get a chance to tell him I had been working out every day I don't have to babysit or be to work/church at 9am. This summer I don't work so more workouts for me.

I still have not reached my goal of 7000 steps on my fitbit but I'm still trying. I get excited to look at my stats and to see how many floors I climb in a day. I try not to look at my lack of sleep :( Off to start my day but right now any day that starts with working out is one that is moving in the right direction.

We sound a lot alike. Like the others said, you are setting a great example for your family and hopefully your hubby will follow in your footsteps.

My DH also tends to work out as soon as he sees that I am. I'm trying to set a good example for my children as well. It seems to be working a little my son, who is overweight, likes to work out with me when he can. He has been able to lose some weight too, which makes me so proud of him. I also see my family for about 30 min at dinner every night because we work opposite shifts, thank goodness I work close by so I can come home for dinner.

Keep up the great work. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

so I got a fitness counter

Thursday, January 24, 2013

I loged over 5000 steps in half a day yesterday. Since I will be wearing my fitbit all day today I wonder how much walking I do in a full day. It also came with an app so I can track what I eat against all my walking to see if I'm in the 'zone' to loose weight. I feels good to use my Christmas money on myself. Which everyone knows is hard to do for moms.

I'm looking to buy a "gadget" too - not sure if Fitbit is right for me as I want a heart rate monitor as well. I'm glad it is working for you though and keeping you motivated! Mom's need to take care of themselves first!

I really like my fitbit. It gives a person a gauge for how active you are. It sure has opened my eye as to how sedinary I really am.
