I've found chair Tai Chi and Chair Yoga !

Monday, August 19, 2013

What a wonderful addition these things are to my life. Finally I can exercise again ! My Spinal Stenosis and arthritis in my knees were keeping me from being able to move around and I was seriously in need of some movement. My ex-daughter-in-law ( whom I still cherish ) told me that there was Chair Yoga so I looked around and found that and Chair Tai Chi so now I exercise nearly every day. It is really improving my weight loss and my blood pressure and my well being. I feel much better and am able to move around better even though I still have pain and limitations. I am getting closer to my goal weight that will allow me to get the surgeries I need for my spine and knees.
I never thought that chair exercises would be this helpful. I'm so glad I tried this in spite of my scepticism .

This is serious business now!

I feel like I have been playing at losing weight for a few years now. Even though it has been imperative that I lose weight I still thought I was alright as I was but wanted to lose weight because I knew it was something I "should" want to do.
Now I am having terrible pain from a spinal stinosis that constricts the spinal cord as I move around. It is caused by arthritis and would have happened no matter what my weight was or is. However, my weight makes the pain worse that it would be if I were lighter. There is surgery available to repair this problem and here is where it gets serious; I have to lose weight before I can have that surgery !
My solution is to subscribe to SparkCoach to help me keep doing the right things to lose weight. I'm so glad that this is available for such a low cost. The videos for chair exercises are awesome and aren't too long for me to do. I am hoping that I will soon be able to exercise for longer periods of time but I am content to be able to do what I am doing. My emotional and physical health are improving since I have been following SparkCoach.

I'm glad to hear you're making progress so that you can ultimately get the surgery you need. SP is very, very good at helping us lose weight. Best to you!
