I know what you mean. I was so tired last night that, when I woke up about 3 am and needed to go to the bathroom, I simply turned over and slept until 6:30, bathroom then back to bed and slept til 9:30. That is something I never do. Just must have been exhausted from Sunday's trip to Philadelphia to the Cancer Center for my DH and back home yesterday. All that sitting made me tired!!! Of course I did walk the treadmill and swim in the hotel pool Sunday and Monday and LOVED it!!

After work today DD and I went for a hike on the Tobico trails.. she took more pics, hoping to see the cygnets, but only saw the cob. The mom swan is still on the nest,,We are thinking they are hatched, but not yet ready for water. We did see some fish, a turtle sunning itself on a lily pad, some birds,,
My legs are bothering me today for some reason, so I had to actually stop and rest a couple times. Usually I am way ahead of her, never slowing down..It is very hot out there,, we did see a huge sailboat about ten miles out,,

We surely got in our 10,000 steps.
I had lots of business calls to make, changing insurance agents from one part of the state to the other.. I told them I was dropping all of my coverage unless they gave me the agent I want. He is about one mile from my home,, the one they chose for me is about 150 miles from here,,

Anybody nowadays can get their needs met if they are persistent. There is WAY too much competition to refuse a customer an easy compliance.
I work too hard for my money to let somebody else dictate how or where I will spend it.
I got what I wanted, everybody was very nice and I will continue to recommend them as long as we both get our needs met.
Simple formula; some people are just too lazy to take the time to go for it. I may be a lot of things, but lazy or stupid is not one of them,, I did not graduate cum laude, by standing in a corner scratching my hynee...

We need to demand better goods, services, treatment in general to keep American goods the ones people are willing to pay for. Pride...

The squeaky wheel gets the grease . . . Good for you!
I'm with you on the Made in the USA for our goods. The stuff made overseas is cheap crap! And there's absolutely NO QUALITY CONTROL. I was over there in Korea for 3 years - just breathing because of all the crap in the air was a chore!

I am so with you LINDA.
When I saw the end of a toothpick in my food, I did not complain to get a free meal. I did it so they were made aware of the possible consequences of their actions.
A pointed piece of wood like a tooth pick could well pierce the esophagus or anywhere else for that matter.
If I find a problem with an item I call the 800 number and discuss it with them. If it is a reputable company I use, I often decline to participate in the giveaway thing. I tell them I want to be able to give constructive criticism in order to keep the product superior.
If I get a freebie every time I think it reduces my credibility. If it is something I am really disappointed in then I will accept it and be sure to let them know I am a dissatisfied consumer.

Great attitude LINDA.
USA made and nothing from China right now till they get their act together. I ask my Pharmacist if any of my drugs or medications come from India or China. I want my drugs to be FDA approved by US standards.

Good for you, companies have to "buck up". What ever happened to the customer is always right?

Where would you be, without me?

Sunday, May 13, 2012

My Grandma always asked me that when I was a little girl. I always answered her that I would be at home with my family. I was a little kid for cripes sake!! I think she would forget that, and realize I did not know where babies came from,, she did not drive, and had no money.
She said it to say it, probably aping what she asked her kids .

MY mother started in on us when we were small and was still blurting this out a year ago. My answer to her was : I would be happy, fulfilled, mentally and physically stable, not wish I was raised by somebody else's mom, and would have never known the pain of your mental and physical wrath on a daily basis. Now THAT is a conversation killer, if ever there was one.
She stopped asking..

I learned after my teens to seek out people to be like a normal mom to me and there were hundreds of normal people out there!! Amazing! Not only were they more than happy to be in that role, but teh world is crawling with these wonders!!
I was flabbergasted and am still in awe of people that complain because their mom asked them to pick up her mail or give her a ride somewhere!! They have no idea that people like me would cut off all four of our limbs to be raised like they were!!! I am not kidding.

I say Happy Mother's Day to everyone out there who truly WAS or IS a mother to their children. You are blessed WITH them and are a blessing TO them. Never forget that.

To those women who are abusing this gift, I pray for your soul and pray for those gifts that you squander.
Enjoy this day that is another gift to all of us!

DD and I did our separate running of errands yesterday, she mowed parents lawn and our lawn.. Hours of mowing,,
I did lots of banking after work, got my head hairs cut(more than one hair, as someone suggested! (LOL!)
Today is more errands mom visit, some work with our resistance bands and ball.. That stability ball really helps us relieve back pain and allows me to do some workouts with my health challenges that I normally could not do..

More rain and cold again today, so my car wash from yesterday will not show,,
A rainy day is one of those times you need to find things to do indoors.. only because it is so cold.. if we ever get summer weather, we walk in the rain,, it is nice!!

I am getting more excited for our vacation:only 96 more days, I got my credit card receipt from the first resort yesterday.. along with lots of brochures from the area.. I already know all of these places, but it was nice of Kathy to send them along..

Another busy day for you. Sure hope you are starting to get some warmer weather. We have had a lot of colder weather and rain. I love walking in the rain when it is warm too. It makes everything seem so much cleaner.
Keep counting down those days til vacation and you will soon be out the door with your suitcase. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

I got a wonderful gift from my dear friend Karen. SH sent me a card for Mother's day, butnot just any old card. This is a card from the Oblates and they are saying a Novena for me! I send them vibes, hoping it is for my health. For those that do not know what a Novena is, ,example, : My mom was born blind. My Grandma prayed for one month, every day, a novena for my mom to get her eyesight. SH had taken her to teh doctor(1926-27) and they said there was nothing they could do, to put her in an institution. Grandma refused, said the prayers from St. Theresa of Avila. At the end of the month of her prayers, her doctor called, telling her that his buddy that eh went to Med school with, was experimenting on a new surgical technique, could Gram take mom down to Ann Arbor to University of Michigan Hospital?

The next morning Grandma did, they did, mom was cured!! It took them a whole day to get there from here, less than 100 miles away, on a bus on two lane roads.

For almost two years nobody could do anything, no known help for this, but the very night(an hour after Grandma finished praying) this eye specialist, out of the clear blue sky, called my Grandma's doctor to say that his doc friend, who had not talked to him for over ten years, could do this!!!
I am blessed!
