Frustrated that insurance companies can just dump you on a different agent whenever they please,, mine happens to be about 100 miles from here or more.. cannot switch to the =local agent until I either buy a new home or car.. not bloody likely there..

Considering switching to another insurance company..
No snow here today, but they did get some in the Yoopee last night.. chilly here, no trail hiking today,, DD mowed lawn while I was at work,, freezing weather to be doing that.. wearing long johns to mow the lawn,, gloves, sweatshirts, hoodies..

Good nes is she moved the grill from teh garage to the back deck for summer grilling,,

We will be doing some grilling this weekend. The weather is crazy for sure...30 degrees one day and 70 the next. We are expecting rain for the weekend though.
Good luck with your insurance company. We are in paperwork up to our tushes from the accident in which we were rear ended. Three insurance companies involved.

Have a great Friday.

Now you can grill dogers out there on the deck and keep your hands warm.

I can't imagine mowing the grass in that cold of weather...

DH and i got letters this week that our very expensive long term care is rising by 15 % this year and again next year,They are not handling long term care any more, yet we are still paying premiums. I think that some lawyer might take that up as a breach of con tract. We were told there would only be premium when the entire body of people would all be raised, we were also told it would not be going up I have gone through my receipts and we do have them all. In the many years we have been with them we never saw or heard an agent. Rip off for sure I am hoping to find someone who will deal with this distraction. HUGS Pat in Maine emoticon emoticon

they are prohibiting you from switching agents?! that is very strange. Perhaps you should look into different insurance. If either you or your significant other are veterans, I would suggest USAA. we love them!

Good luck.

emoticon Time to do some grillin! emoticon We grill year round here unless the weather is down right nasty and icy! Hope you get your insurance settled. Maybe this is a sign that it's time to change companies, not only for better rates, but better service.

Catching up on sleep seems to help me, keeps me calm, lets me feel better too. Today after work Dd and I dropped books off at library, went to the Credit Union, went to parents house, checked for mice and mail, I mowed their lawn. I was burning rubber in that grass! I did the whole yard in an hour!! I am surprised a cop did not pull up and give me a speeding ticket in the back yard!! LOL!
We put a load of laundry on the clothesline, washed and dried a lot of big bowls and pots, baking dishes that I do not put in dishwasher. Unloaded dishwasher, showered and no I sit here, feeling like I did get a lot accomplished today so far..
We also hauled another big banana box of garage sale items to the parents house..

I plan on getting another early bedtime in tonight,, I need to relax and slow things down more often,, wish I had ten hands, eight feet and four heads, to get more done...

Did not realize how much that sleepless night took out of me until yesterday morning,, I felt like ten miles of bad road. If DD had been awake, I would have let her go to grocery store.. I did go, picked up a Rx, got my stuff, left.. Did some laundry, watched tv through my eyelids for a couple hours, but still felt rough..
Very tired this morning, but did sleep fairly well last night, went to bed at 6:45p. For some reason, I seem to have a huge amount of gas in the past three days!! I mean a lot of gas.... No new meds or foods,, walked a lot Saturday,,

I am going to go to bed early again this evening,, today was an easy, but slow day at work,, hoping tomorrow will be also... I have a whole page of labs scheduled for next month from my PCP, so we will see what is what then,, If I can keep my A1C at 5.9 like last time, I will be happy,,

Sounds like your weekend did not go too well. That's too bad. Hopefully by tomorrow everything will be doing better. Supplements with medications can have interactions. Especially with prescription medications. There was a lot to read today in the AARP magazine about the issue of supplements making medications work as if they are stronger but others actually weaken the medication. I guess the pharmacist should be told about your medications, I try to look them up in the pill book for DH and I . Take care LINDA (((HUGS))), Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I will be ahppy for you, too. If you keep your A1c the same. I know it's a struggle. 2oo Hoo mine was 1 point below yours at 5.8. but next time? Hmmmmm

Also no more Beanie Weenies for you Missy!
Walking can cause gas if it's windy out. It does to me.

I hope youa re feeling better. It's nights like that that you ahd of no sleep that makes me trip over my feet and fall and hurt myself so I sure hope that doesn't happen to you.

No sleep last night: I thought I was having a heart attack,, back and chest pains, shoulder pain,, clear female signs of cardiac probs.. took a couple Gaviscon and pain went away, it helped a lot, but I still lay awake with hot flashes,,

It is finally a rainy day, we were blessed with beautiful sunshine yesterday, hiked at the beach and marsh, met wonderful people from Nevada,,
supposed to visit friends today, I am very tired,, maybe just a quick nap,,

You really should have called 911. It's better to be safe than sorry. When the symptoms are there, you really should listen.
I lost my very dear husband at the age of 45 to a massive heart attack. So sudden and no previous history.

Another voice to add to the chorus: CALL YOUR DOCTOR! Cardiac symptoms, even if it turns out they're unrelated to anything cardiac, are nothing to mess around with. Stay safe! We all care!

Sounds like you follow a lot of us... Maybe you enjoyed the rarity of a hike in the sunshine... and just maybe you loved it so much that you DID so much...!

I agree, you should have called 9-1-1. You took a chance with your life. This time you got lucky...

... and we need you here!

Be well, my friend!

I'm right with GEMINI -- call your Dr.! You don't want to take such a chance with your health. DEFINITELY keep a phone by your bedside to call 9-1-1. In the meantime, I really hope you go to your Dr. and get an EKG (electrocardiogram) and check up to make sure things are alright.

That sounds scary. I've had heartburn that felt like a heart attack, and panic attacks as well, but if it happens again, you might want to see a doctor. Not worth taking a chance. Take good care of you!

Simple pleasures..

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Priorities really do change when life situations alter your life. I remember when I was in my 20's dating, a simple pleasure was a Harley ride in the country with my boyfriend. Later on, a simple pleasure was a cool halter top or pair of designer jeans.
Still later, when first married, a simple pleasure was making a wonderful dinner for my hubby and I, savoring the time with him and talking(He worked 7 days, 16 hour days).

WHen my Dd was born, every second was a pleasure, even the everyday things I did with and for her. Sharing a popsicle, making Snoopy sno-cones in the heat of July; making blanket tents with a card table and chairs in the living room or making a simple playhouse out of cardboard boxes from new appliances , on our basement floor for her fantasy playtime..

Fast forward 25 years:
Calling in a Rx refill via voice mail, getting a free car wash, finding a coupon for groceries you need, feeling a pain pill do its' job, having Dd haul heavy things for me up the basement stairs, prepare meals, housework, etc.

I guess my last simple pleasure will be knowing that I already have my cemetery plot, my Trust all in order, owe nobody $$ and hoping they plant me in the correct hole!!!!!!!!!!
What more could a gal ask for????? Lowering expectations makes for a more relaxed, contented life..
