bridal dress fitting

We went for our first fitting for length alterations on our dresses this afternoon,, we just needed the straps taken up a bit and the hems taken up a bit,,

I stopped at the nursing home to visit my dad's only living sibling, Carol,, she had a stroke a few years ago and we visited for over an hour, I have not been able to get to her in over a year,, told her all about everything going on here,, she is in a private room now, was glad I stopped to be with her, instead of sitting in Barnes and noble to read before my bridal appointment,,
Sometimes when I plan something selfish like that, I decide to visit somebody I have not seen in a long time instead,, I never regret it..

She never married, has only a seven nieces, I am the only one that lives within ten miles of her, so she never gets any company,, she is only 67,,

it is the time in my life when I see that my days are so numbered, that I will not live to an old age with this bad family health history, so want to let her know that I did not forget her,,
I am so blessed to be able to drive, to have a car, to have fuel for that car, can remember how to get there, can walk, see, talk, etc,, I NEVEr take any of that for granted,, been without lots of things my whole life, material and ethereal, so know how it feels to be without,,
I thank God for His blessings for me..

I thought that was so touching...how our days are numbered and so on. Brought a tear to my eyes. I have no children and my mom has dementia so I see the writing on the wall. Okay, so it is decided: we are all going to Maui, one bag per person, no underwear, boots, coats, thongs(flip flops or otherwise) phones, boob-tubes(tube tops) ice scrapers or socks allowed.
Swimsuits, coverups, pedal pushers, sandals and sneakers, nighties and tees..
one spark exercise piece per sparker,, deflated ball, bands, or yoga mats, DVDs..
No scales , calorie counters, measuring cups or tapes!!
this is a calorie-free, guilt free, fun filled trip with sand, exotic oils, drinks, foods and people..
One church outift per person,,
PACK YOUR BAGS!! REMEMBER, THE SKIMPIER THE CLOTHING, THE MORE YOU CAN FIT IN THE BAG!! OR wear everything on the outside of your clothes and you will have a whole section of the plane to yourself!! Nobody will want to sit near you looking like that!! Except me,, I can fit lots of unmentionables over my clothes!!!

Just ask the airport fondlers in Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco, L.A, San Juan, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Shepherd Air Force Base, Texas, Las Vegas(nobody noticed in Vegas)....

Went to gas station after work,, got $.55 off per gallon of gas, but filled up four gas cans besides which ar e atotal of fourteen gallons,, so the sticker shock was $66!! My tank was on suck, but still...
hunkering down for winter with this 18 degree weather!! Soup-making weather!

I will have to prepare for the frigid weather and get a new pair of slippers to get my mail!!
Still lining shelves, got to work on them tomorrow.. gonna see if the money tree is shedding so I can buy more shelf liner!!

As far as layering and comforters, I have had three blankets and a quilt on my bed for two months!!
I absolutely refuse to break out the flannel sheets until winter is offically here!!

WE HAVE INDOOR PLUMMIN'!!
Water is hooked up to the dishwasher, faucet, knobs and handles on cabinets, toekicks on, electrrical panel all revamped, rewitring done, plumbing done,, wood panel and wood trim on end of cabinets done,,
