I got out of work very early this morning, so DD and I planned a hike in the marsh a few miles from our home. She took the camera for pics to share, I took binoculars. We saw mute swans, geese, lots of birds, a box turtle, squirrels.
They will be posted soon. We certainly got over our 10,000 steps plus the cardio was a great feeling. We were the only ones out there until we were leaving, a few stragglers came in off the beach.
I have discovered that Michigans' state parks and rec areas are great ways to be outdoors and meet people and nature,, wish I had more days to do things like this,, it was a fluke,, working extra hours the rest of the week..
The St. Lawrence Seaway is open now for the season, but many ships are not going through the Soo Locks yet due to ice floes on Lake Superior. We will see our shipping lane get busy in a week or two. I usually can see freighters through my binoculars every time I look out on Lake Huron.
We stopped at the pharmacy on the way home to pick up my meds that the doc ordered yesterday. I took one anti-inflammatory pill as soon as we got home,, I will try a half pain pill as he suggested Friday night,,
