Making a dent..

Saturday, January 28, 2012

DD and I made the trip to the basement yesterday, a daunting task of sorting through years of stuff.. for the garage sale.. Her skin problems only allow us to stay down there, due to damp and some mildew,, for about a couple hours before she starts getting pain and itching ,, SHe hauled two huge trash bags of junk to the garage, we sorted through a lot of Christmas wrapping paper and assorted things like boxes, gift bags, etc,, old clothing to be tossed, filled yet another big plastic bin with some more of my old books.. we have a lot more to do, it looks very messy, but we know how much we accomplished, hauling boxes, etc..
IT felt good to do it and make some headway towards a better organized home..

STILL NO PEPPER SHAKER THOUGH!!!!!!

Am I eating healthier? Depends on the time frame..
from ten years ago,, oh yes!

Form five years ago,,OH YES!!
from one year ago, I can say yes.. less sweets, unhealthy fats, snacks.. now I am eating Kashi cereal with 1/2 banana,,, to take with my morning meds..

I am gradually slipping more organic foods, more healthy fats. way less processed snacks,,
will it make a difference? Maybe not with me, but DD is also making and discussing different healthy foods, moves and food preps.. that is worth it all,, when I die, she will need to have this lifestyle to stay alive with ;the family history..

MRI was no big deal,, I could have stayed in there for an hour or two,, I just prepared myself to go into TM,, after about four minutes, I did not even heatr anything,, closed my eyes, did the total body relaxation and went into TM mode,, I was actually lying on a hammock near the beach in Bali, smelling the flowers, ocean air, feeling the breeze, hearing the surf pound.. next thing I knew they were sliding me out and it was finished,, it took over a half hour according to my clock,(they had to re-do part because I swallowed once!) , glad I was only in the tube for five minutes, mentally!!

I arranged for them to send the results to my family doctor as well as the neurosurgeon,, asking is receiving...

Great job, I hope the results will be helpful to diagnose the problem. Good call to get it to your Dr too since they can sometimes give you more info. I was about to undergo an exploratory surgery for my back. When i mentioned it to my MD, who had been away he immediately called and asked the odds of success. I never thought about that one. He told me they said it was 50/50 for resolving the nerve entrapment issue. i chose a numb leg instead of more potential pain. Now with acupuncture i am doing well.
I hope you know the outcome very soon, waiting is always the difficult part for me I an very impatient. I was a Radiographer in England and when I tell them that they will usually let me read them if they have time.
It is good to here you are educating your daughter in healthy choices mY grand daughter is eating better too. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I don't know what the big deal is with some people who are claustraphopic about having an MRI or CT scan. I jsut dream and relax in that big donut. It's not like you are all closed in. I could wiggle out if need be.

I'm praying all goes well for you my friend.

    Linda,

Try to stay focused on the positive side of things. I was told by a doctor that cancer genes are not necessarily hereditary. Our thoughts create our reality. I have mentioned this is several of my blogs. There is really a mind body connection. Even the medical field is embracing this aspect of ourselves that they cannot fully comprehend. You must BELIEVE that everything will be fine. I know that's easy to say when fear is not staring you directly in the face. Keep your trust in God and in your body. I will keep you in my prayers. . .

Are there such things nowadays as a secure job? Especially with the government. Our city workers are on a 3-day strike because of a 9% pay cut.

LOL too funny. Plus when you wlork with the government you get to be Lazy and you get fridays off. Imagine 3 days to do what you want to do not what you have to do.
Hang in there Lin.

I totally agree followed by other local government employees. It is as if the just do not realise we pay their wages for them. No matter where I go to get information they still will finish their conversation, their snack or whatever and leave us hanging. If they worked as hard as the private sector, we would not need so may of them.

YES !!!!! there are some good ones in there for sure but somehow I rarely get to them and when I do I make SURE, I let them know they were helpful and appreciated.HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon
