I'm in my long johns, too. But we ahve no snow. Just fog.

So you have your first snowfall? Was this during the night? Is it still snowing? Stay warm and safe.

one more week!

Saturday, December 17, 2011

One more week until Christmas Eve! Nothing special for me that day, but it is a time of peace and no work, (I usually have to work if it is a weekday) and I rush around trying to get everything finished after work. This year I can relax and meditate about my Savior, his family problems to be in a safe place to bring him here to us.
Christmas Day is the day I go to church early, soak in the joy and serenity of the history that is HIM.

Old people ARE nice!

Friday, December 16, 2011

Anybody knows me well, knows that I was raised in an abusive home(mother) and searched elsewhere in my pool of females to get a nice mom figure..... today I am shopping for vitamins and an elderly lady on an amigo was sitting, looking lost and confused. She was trying to find a certain supplement and could not see far enough down the shelves to get her products. I asked her if I could help her and she smiled, SMILED at me and thanked me and said I was so kind and sweet to offer to help an old strange, lady. I could have cried. My mother would have rammed me in the legs and told me to get out of the way and then demand that somebody help her to find the product since she could not see it or reach it!! She then would have screamed and swore for all to hear and then cursed them all for being useless.

This lady was so thankful that Meijer's held a charged "buggy" as she called it, for her every Friday when her daughter took her here to shop. A few minutes later I passed an aisle and heard a jewellery rack jiggle: this lady had bumped it with the wheel of her "buggy" and her daughter was actually YELLING, yes, yelling at her to stop, back up, turn, move right, no right, stop, etc,, the lady was almost crying,, so I came around and asked if I could help again. The old lady looked up at me embarrassed and her daughter just stood there(daughter about in her late 60's) and I turned the basket of the amigo the other way and asked older lady to press power button just a teensy and she got away from the rack. She thanked me again and I told her that the rack was way too close in the aisle, she was not at fault!!
Her daughter had no patience with a quiet , polite lady and I feel guilty when my mom swears across a room and I tell her to keep quiet!
I would love to switch places for one day with her!!!

In fact, my mother would swear at both these ladies!!!!!!! Some people are completely clueless of the blessings they have.

LINDA, you are so great to have made an old lady happy. I hope the other woman woulkd wise up and stop abusing her mother.
Linda I am proud to have such a nice friend as you,
It made me feel good inside that someone made her smile. Thank you my dear friend.

It's not age that makes people nasty or nice. Some people were born nasty, others learn it from those around them when their growing up. Others are nice throughout their lives, regardless of the situations around them.

I get angry when I see people abusing abusing an older person, just like I get angry when I see a parent yelling and screaming at a child.

I wonder what St. Peters and thy holy father have to think of people abusive and with no patience like this? Where will they end up?

It's a pity!

My grandmother was a mean old lady so I was thankful when I ran up against a grandmother who was sweet and kind.
