HOt tubbing evening tonight

Friday, September 30, 2011

DD and I are invited to a dear friends' home tonight to relax in their spa before they close it. We are providing the snacks:fresh fruit tray with pineapple, grapes, honeydew, honeyrock; we are baking oatmeal scotchies and chocolate chip cookies too,, have some garden vegetable cheese spread and some other gourmet cheese to snack on. This is another trip to Frankenmuth, as they live just outside of it. We have lots of things to do today before that, hauling things to parents home, clearing out my garage of things from my attic,, lots of sorting to do..
I think I need a nap already and it is only 6:30am.

Thursday's Thought

How many times has the same drop of water rained down from the clouds in the same spot? Out of a cloud, fall on the lake, evaporate back up in the air, fall back down, but in the same spot twice?

DD and ex used my chainsaw yesterday to trim and eliminate some pesky limbs, bushes, etc from my yard. HE then treated us to dinner. I have not been able to use my hedge trimmer or saw this summer, nor the weed whacker. Guess what the yard looks like? IT drives him nuts to see it, so he does it while he is here,, he loves my power tools and tractor, as most guys do.
He is supposed to return today to do more, I have to get clearing out that attic stuff in the garage,, but one-handed takes forever, Kristy is helping him outdoors.

Yesterday I lost a lot of excess dead skin from my suture line, it is ugly, itchy, very painful yet.. cousin John says his is too, I am using him as a guide, which helps me not feel like a big baby.. Still cannot believe this is so painful!! I guess slitting your wrists, and palm down the middle through to the bare tendons and nerve, tends to do that... I would still rather have a another hysterectomy than go through this again,,

Venting feels great, but one handed typing is too much work..

VENTING is GREAT it puts it out there and its a load of you chest as my gran used to say. Yes it is a major upset to the body. Probably one of the more complicated parts actually. Take care. Gran also told me itching is healing. She had an answer for everything. HUGS Linda Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Happy to hear you are busy doing stuff even tho you are in pain. It takes a long time to heal and it has only been 3 weeks for you. Give it some more time. Take care

I wish I ahd an ex like yours. He seems great and msot helpful.

It's good you're being a good girl and resting your hand. I'm proud of you. but the fact you are diabetic means long healing pro cess. Just try to relax and take it easy as much as possible.

LINDA I missed this one. I know the frustration. It's a major obstruction to what we need and want to do. The days seem so long but it will be better in the end. I know you are like me, I work to keep busy I do not like to sit and I am sitting at this computer again. Take care Please, you can do it. Get this behind you and you can be the whirling Dervish again HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticonXOXOXO

You can do it, Lin. Just take it easy. It will be ahrd when you go back to work after all this rest and relaxation you have had.

How's your blood sugar? Are you testing it in the morning?
Getting in your walking and exercise? I sure hope you are staying healthy.

Heavy rainy Monday

Monday, September 26, 2011

I had a great time meeting with Steve from our Saginaw,MI team yesterday. DD and I arrived earlier to take advantage of some discounts we had. Bought some things to take to a hot tub party this Friday.. we are providing the snacks, so we selected some slightly exotic things to prepare.
Since it was a Sunday, the whole town was packed solid when we arrived, people everywhere,, totally opposite of a weekday, but still fun. We walked on the wooden bridge, until I dampened the fun by feeling the onset of an asthma attack, so we stopped on the bridge to talk for a long time, watching the ducks and gees laze around on the Cass River. Walked around more, to a coffee shop, relaxed there on leather sofas, only customers, as busloads of trunk-slammers(My name for tourists) left town for home.

Any sparkmeeting, no matter how small, is fun and always a learning experience. Who doesn't want or need more friends, right? I hope Steve meets with us again, we would not make him endure shopping with us however; even the most hard-core Sparker has a heart and would not subject another to this town of shopping!! LOL! It houses the largest Christmas store in the world,, yes, world!! Will post picture os the three of us soon.. Coffee barrista took it for us!!
