LINDA I missed this one. I know the frustration. It's a major obstruction to what we need and want to do. The days seem so long but it will be better in the end. I know you are like me, I work to keep busy I do not like to sit and I am sitting at this computer again. Take care Please, you can do it. Get this behind you and you can be the whirling Dervish again HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticonXOXOXO

You can do it, Lin. Just take it easy. It will be ahrd when you go back to work after all this rest and relaxation you have had.

How's your blood sugar? Are you testing it in the morning?
Getting in your walking and exercise? I sure hope you are staying healthy.

Heavy rainy Monday

Monday, September 26, 2011

I had a great time meeting with Steve from our Saginaw,MI team yesterday. DD and I arrived earlier to take advantage of some discounts we had. Bought some things to take to a hot tub party this Friday.. we are providing the snacks, so we selected some slightly exotic things to prepare.
Since it was a Sunday, the whole town was packed solid when we arrived, people everywhere,, totally opposite of a weekday, but still fun. We walked on the wooden bridge, until I dampened the fun by feeling the onset of an asthma attack, so we stopped on the bridge to talk for a long time, watching the ducks and gees laze around on the Cass River. Walked around more, to a coffee shop, relaxed there on leather sofas, only customers, as busloads of trunk-slammers(My name for tourists) left town for home.

Any sparkmeeting, no matter how small, is fun and always a learning experience. Who doesn't want or need more friends, right? I hope Steve meets with us again, we would not make him endure shopping with us however; even the most hard-core Sparker has a heart and would not subject another to this town of shopping!! LOL! It houses the largest Christmas store in the world,, yes, world!! Will post picture os the three of us soon.. Coffee barrista took it for us!!

sunday in Frankenmuth

Sunday, September 25, 2011

Today we meet Sparker Steve from our Saginaw, Michigan team. HE sent us his description so we will know him from all the people around that Glockenspiel.
Joe installed teh insulation yesterday, had half of it left over, took all but one roll back. I am hoping for a change in my heating bills this winter, as well as cooling next summer. Crossing my fingers!!
I will try to remember to take my camera today to record the day..

I'm going to Frankenmuth too in a few weeks! I live in Georgia, but my family lives in Toledo, so I will be visiting them in a few weeks. They like to spend a day in Frankenmuth at least once every fall.

nice sunny day,,
Since I can never sit still, I was doing too much post surgery, pain is awful, so after getting read the riot act at docs office and by DD, I called my cousin JOhn, ,, we had our surgeries 30 minutes apart by the same surgeon. I asked him if he was still having pain,etc..
When I called, Brenda, his wife, answered. I asked her how John was doing. The very first thing out of her mouth was, "HE won't sit still, is always doing things he is not supposed to be doing!"
It was word for word what DD said about me to others!!
Turns out, he has exactly the same issues I do,, more-than-anticipated pain, needing stronger pain pills,itchy-pants syndrome(unable to sit still doing nothing). His thing is hanging wooden shelving, cleaning out his garage, helping with housework!!
NOw I feel better knowing I am not a whiny baby about this stuff!!

The Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth,MI, which you can google, is a large restaurant, hotel, gift shops, bakery, etc in Mid Michigan.. There is a large Glockenspiel (pronounced Glock-N-shpeel) on the outside wall of the building. LIfe sized characters go around the clock with music and telling a story, a 20 minute program. I believe it is the only one of its' kind in the U.S.

You won't heal well and correctly if you keep ignoring doctor's orders. Don't you want it ti be as nearly perfect as it can be to serve you well the rest of your life? emoticon

You need to take recovery more serious. You are only hurting yourself more and looking for a failed surgery if you don't follow the dr orders emoticon

Enjoy the time off, don't blow it

I'm so glad you have a stubborn cousin just like yourself. emoticon
For the price you paid for the co pay for your surgery you would think you could behave. but noooooooo. You best be real careful friend becaue you can cause serious damage and then what? I expressed my mom and sister both ahd that surgery. sis ahd it at same time on both hands. they both behaved well and healed well. You need to recover like they tell you because you ahve a job to go back to. that's what the 6 weeks recovery si for and you are gonna blow it.

Sparkventure Sunday!

Friday, September 23, 2011

Sunday afternoon DD and I will be meeting a fellow Saginaw, MI team member, Steve. We are meeting in Frankenmuth,MI at the Glockenspiel at the Bavarian Inn. He lives and works there, so we know we have a great tour guide, although we are frequent visitors there,, it is only about a 20 minute ride from our home.
Tomorrow HandyJoe will be installing 38 rolls of insulation in my attic.
Something has to help these sky-high heating bills this winter.
