Went to hear the "Doo Dads" last evening with frineds at Bay City Recreation Area(state park). IT began to sprinkle just as we were leaving their campsite, so the concert was indoors. It was blues, jazzy Gospel, folksy music. Banjo, mandolin, guitar and base fiddle. Little kids were tapping their toes and clapping, pre-teens too.
We went back to their fifth wheel and made a campfire, visited for a couple hours. These friends are retired and camp most of he summer, live about a 45 minute drive from me.
The time with them messed up my prep plans so I had to cross the window washing and baking off my list. Speeding it up today, putting all dry stock in garage next to car ready to pack in the morning,,
it is a short drive from my home to Indian River, only about 3 1/2 hours, but wnat to get checked in my cabin and unpacked in time to make it to non Mass at the Shrine in the Woods.
Off to the store and more packing and cleaning.
