SO far, new BP med with diuretic, seems to be working, but having some extra-beat issues, wondering if catching my breath is an adjustment to this new med..
Still have this week to monitor it.. so glad to stop taking lasix and sleep at night,, slept three whole hours in a row!!!

Five more working days until vacation and they cannot go by fast enough. I am going to do some organizing this weekend , need to make a space to pack and check off my list of stuff to put in car ,,

Lots of lists to leave here, with phone numbers of all places I will be for DD and moms care place..
I think the beaches of Lake Superior, Burt Lake, and maybe Mullet Lake have my name on them, along with a lawn chair at every place I stay. Packing my shoes, plan on lots of walking!!
New BP med is one day-in so far, hoping it works because I am not planning on any down time alone in the wilds of Northern Michigan!!

waited five weeks for today's neurosurgeon appointment, office called while I was at work to cancel it because he does not stay in office past two on Wednesdays,, then why did they schedule this appointment for 2:45 five weeks ago???????????
After many calls to prepare my Rx and PCP list, I find out that I do not even have an appointment with him today,,

after more calls and more waiting, I re-schedule for August 24 in the afternoon, the day after I return from my vacation.. I was told that my surgery should be scheduled about two weeks after my appointment, depending on the OR schedule,etc. They could get me in a week from today to be seen, early in the morning, which means that I would have to take a day off work for a ten minute appointment.. which is not going to happen because boss already made out schedules for next week,, THIS MORNING.
It would not make any difference if I did go next week, he still would schedule me for surgery about two weeks after I return from my vacation, so this way, I just find out the day after I com back home, after work.

I did spit, too, I was so mad,,

just got off phone with dental office,, going there tomorrow to make my smile(If I ever have one again) a little brighter.. (ting!!

LINDA That is really too bad. I have truly been in the same boat when the receptionist wrote the date but the wring day, When i arrived a day late they even wanted to charge me for it. I went home and took the card back to them She had the audacity to say she never writes the day on the card. I did not spit i exploded. So what to now, take your vacation and have a great time and get the surgery when you get back? Will that work or does it mess up at work for you?. ARGH! I feel for you and understand completely...I have on occasion called to make an appt only to find they already made one for me - like they know what my calendar is like, are they kidding me!?! And they never even called to let me know what day they gave me so when I hadnt shown up they would have probably tried to charge me for the missed appt...GET REAL! As you can see I have issued too but hope we can both calm down. Hope you find your smile and have a good Dentist appt! Report Inappropriate Comment

WOW! That is aweful! I can't believe that! Why did he take so long to change his mind and why didn't just book the appointment for 1:45 instead of 2:45 in the first place?! I also can't believe he is ao lazy that he has to leave work at 2 EVERY day! I he must get paid vast sums of money too if he only feels the need to work a few hours a day. There is an unbelievable shortage of neurologists in the US right now. I would be angry, too, but in all likelihood, the doctor got called out for a emergency. When that happens, it wreaks havoc with their schedules, pisses off their patients but usually saves someone else's brain. My daddy had 3 strokes before he died and without the immediate attention of the neurologist, he would have left us sooner and been a vegetable longer. I hope everything works out for you! regilieh, you are right, If I trusted the Lord, I would not be angry, but I have been marking the days to find out the OR date, so I could plan,, I care for my mom and her home, mine, work full time.. I know you are looking forward to vacation, I hope you enjoy after surgery. Can you drive to the UP? I am in therapy for my arm and see lots of CT patients in for therapy too. Will you be doing that also. How long will you be off work? Good Luck on everythingP Report Inappropriate Comment
