Okay Mark,, it was kind of hard the first night,, we will see today. I drink over a gallon of iced green tea a day so that fills me up. Going to boil some eggs now,, if I still have some baking soda left.

I drink a lot of ice tea myself. I drink a mix of regular black tea with some constant comment tea, and cinnamon stick tea. It's quite refreshing. Do you think the green tea help with your weight loss or that it makes a difference? Why do you need baking soda to boil eggs?

I got some great snacks form my Spark friends yesterday,, I usually do keep boiled eggs in a zippyloc bag, but I have ot monitor my cholesterol, so I limit ot usually just egg whites.. I will take the egg and the orange offered..Anything I just have ot undress to eat is great. Turning a knob on the stove or having to open a drawer for a knife to cut something is actual cooking,, I might as well get a cook book out and cook!

I love my Cheerios and oatmeal.. they keep my cholesterol numbers down and I supplement with a cheese stick.
Today was a quarter of a Glucerna bar.

Nachos supreme with ground sirloin, fat free frijoles`, diced green pepper and onion are a treat for me, with unsalted chips..

I really love the produce we get at the market in the summer months,, Hopefully we should be getting something local in a month or so..

* Me too. If what I'm doing involves giving up fruit for a time, I will start it in mid-september. I love spring and summer fruits.

I am very hungry right now, looked in teh fridge for something to just grab, nothing easy or healthy jumped out at me(truth be told, if it DID jump, hunger would be the least of my problems) so now i sit here waiting for an idea to magically jump into my brain to prepare something nutritious and quick,, multi grain cheerios, smart balance fat free milk and a banana.
OR soup.. okay be back later, Let the Hunger games begin!!

LINDA, you will have to be better prepared for the hungries.

Make some "GO-TO" foods so when you walk in the door hungry. You can get something good instead of a nutrient starved kids cereal. DEBS has the great idea, just follow her example[le. It sounds soooo DELISH.

A beautiful day her, windy, sunny,, no rain!! Big storm last night with tornado touching down south of us, walls of water dropping in Frankenmuth, but we are in a valley , so usually avoid the tornadoes.
I decided to take advantage of the windy day and swept and steam scrubbed my one bathroom floor, front entry floor, and kitchen floor. they dried in about ten minutes!!
I love the feeling of a just-cleaned house.. I would also love if I did not have to actually do the work LOL, but my Hazel-fairy flew away years ago, so I take even greater pleasure when it IS done!
I hope everybody else is safe after that terrible storm last night.. this year has been such a bad tornado one..

an addendum to yesterdays blog: The drunk guy died later..

LINDA, I have never used a steam cleaner. I have a hand held one but not a big one like a vacuum cleaner.
I was going to hire some one but my neighbors rugs did not look good.

We both have the same rugs, I want mine to look better than that. HUGS Pat in Maine.
I hope your weather will be better and ours too. Take care Pat .

I, too, enjoy the freshness of a clean house. My 'Hazel' only comes for 3 hours a month so the rest of the time it is up to me!

More rain today, in sunny skies, very strange,, but he skies are darkening now,, still at 100% humidity..

A nice day at work, worked a little over..
had a nice veggie and chicken wrap for my lunch,, lots of nice cold, filtered water, and up and down the basement stairs doing laundry.

We are going to start our new list for vacation in August.. 59 days until then..

I do have a quick rant,, any opinions are welcome,,

A coworker is very upset that her son's best friend who was home on leave before deployment, was killed after a car accident last week. The man was 20 years old, drove drunk with THREE passengers, two that were SOBER!He blew a (are you sitting down?) 3.5 on the breathalyszer THE NEXT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the state of Michigan, 0.08 is illegally drunk. that reading is about equal to blowing into a 150 proof tequila bottle!!!!!!!!!!
These are adults, no teens and this guy actually was deemed smart enough to brandish a weapon for our Armed Forces!!
I have zero tolerance for humans who are so selfish that they choose to aim a one-ton weapon at others with no control...

I am sorry for his family, but I will always stick my my mantra:STUPIDITY KILLS! Not always the stupid one, either!! His wife and the two others in the car are in various hospitals across our state for special life saving techniques and surgeries, ,,
TWO sober people actually got in this car with him already at the wheel!!!!!!!!!!

AM I a ditzy paranoid old fogey, or is this now right?????? To top the whole thing off, none of them had any insurance or jobs, so guess who foots this bill? We have no-fault insurance in MI, so up go my rates,, with 42 years with no accidents. Another item just for giggles is: His wife is angry because somebody else didn't TAKE HIS KEYS AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SHE GOT IN THE CAR NEXT TO HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! S*O*B*E*R*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I am neurotic when I realize that this sent my BP up for two days!!!!!!! I never met any of these people but egads, could they scrape up a whole brain between the four of them??????
Okay rant over, feel free to add your fifty dollars worth.. ah, I feel a little less stressed now...

As is everyone else, I am sad for his family. There is enough true tragedy in the world that I don't understand why people are willing to be party to self-inflicted tragedy. My mom always said that something like this isn't a true tragedy. Yes, it's unspeakably sad for the family, friends, etc. however I've always thought of a "tragedy" as something outside of our control. Terrorist attacks, tornadoes, cancer...that is tragedy.

I guess it was my turn to rant.

I am sorry for the mother but I agree with you...I am sick of people weaving all over the road...texting, or dialing or drunk or high...if it is just them that will suffer it is different but it is usually innocent people like kids!

Have a GREAT day!

    My condolences.
How could a breathalyzer be done if he was killed?
Why didn't the wife or the other sober person take the keys?

The attitude of 'victim' rather than 'responsible person' is too rampant in our society today.
