So far, we only got about three inches of snow, but the biggie is tonight: 6-10 inches of additional snow.. I only work a few hours in the morning tomorrow, hope I can get out of my driveway and onto the main road..
I usually just step on the gas, barrel through the snow, and get in my lane.. Since I work very early in the morning, there are usually no other vehicles on the road, so I can just cruise down the highway plowing through the lanes and drifts.. We will see..

We are readying for our first NorEaster so I need to get DH new medicine today.
They are predicting a foot or more and winds so the candles are ready and the propane stove is out and homemade chicken stew is for tomorrow, maybe Saturday too.
So far we have been spared I have used my Michigan Scoop but I might need the blower. No sweat I can do it. Take care, emoticon emoticon I hope DD is also on the mend with much less pain. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I seemed to feel more tired today, getting more cardio in too. DD is in a lot of pain, so we are lying low since it hurts her to walk or move in any way.
We, like everybody else in this state, are awaiting spring and just going day by day to let the days get longer and nights shorter.. It only makes our vacation closer,,

As I clean out drawers and files, I wonder what people did before taxes and bills, piles of paper work, in teh cold months... I now realize that God made these cold months for people like me to clean out accumulated papers and crank up a shredder or get the fireplace going..
reminds me to make a tax appt. for moms taxes too.. DRat..

We have been spared the heavy snow but we have a Nor'Easter with a foot of snow predicted.

I hope there is less in Michigan right now. I really dislike the cold but I walked today with my new face mask and it really helped.

I hope both you and DD are feeling better very soon it has been a long freezing spell for you both.

Day by day,
Day by day,
Oh dear Lord,
Three things I pray...
I think winter cold stiffens us up and makes things get more sore. One thing I've found that can help is to sleep in a sleeping bag for a night or two. Being surrounded by warm seems to help. It's definitely time for more long-johns, and maybe a dog or two to help warm the bed.

I also find that the wood stove makes a great shredder. :)

We have now completed a whole month in this new year. So many people have weathered personal problems, tragedies, illnesses and inner turmoil. Whatever anybody is going through today, CAN get better, on HIS timetable, not ours.
Life is a line graph, ups and downs, we are put here for each other, friends or not, to support, understand, tolerate, give aid and learn from. Whatever life's lessons are on your blackboard today, relish the opportunity to find a solution, use your grey matter and to share it with another.

    Well said Linda.Thanks.

My white matter is fast catching up with my grey matter alas but what's the matter with that.

I guess so long as the Grey matter is there it is living.

I am wondering why and when the white matter takes over, what happens next.

I guess it will not matter then. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Still more snow...

Monday, February 04, 2013

A hearty ten degrees this morning,, heated up to 12 now..
I cherish my fleece throws, nighties,,, got utility bill and it is maintaining, I thought it would be over the clouds after both of us being so sick and with chills, I actually cranked the furnace up to 62 degrees a few times!! I never do that..

Not much moving around here, roads are slippery, wind chill is too much to do anything but get from point A to point B.
Still waiting from my virtual vacation with Joy,,

Yikes! I am impressed, only Cranked UP to 62 degrees when the weather is a steady 10 degrees outside? I guess it feels warmer than the outside. I am such a weenie when it comes to cold. It is 62 degrees in the house right now, and I was contemplating making a fire!
Take care, stay safe...and warm!

Are the two of you still off to Hawaii again.

We still have no snow and so DH has been able to walk outdoors that has really helped.
I am doing a challenge for this month and hope to finally make a difference but not holding my breath on that one. I added a little incentive, If I do get there I will buy one of the fit bits as a reward. I hope you and joy are ready to go HUGS love you LINDA Pat in Maine. I hope it warms up for you, emoticon emoticon emoticon

I hope you pain is better under control now I sure do hope so. emoticon

I can relate. My body is revolting against the exercise but I am working through it. We too have been having snow and brutal cold lately. Thankfully I have a nice warm hangar to work in while working on my old car. Only about 6 blocks to the gym so I am set there as well.
