DD is under the weather today, not feeling well at all, did not even greet me at the door when I came home from work! She is sick!
Trying to pay some mom bills again, finding more things in the basement for the garage sale.. I never come upstairs empty-handed.. filling a box to take there tomorrow.. Hoping DD feels better tomorrow..
We usually run errands together after I get out of work,, we will see.. she has been sleeping for hours,,, wish I could take her pain away..

So sorry DD is under the weather, I think sleeping is good when you are sick. DH slept for hours i sure wish I could do it but it needs a sledge hammer some nights to get to sleep.
I am doing much better with the melatonin though.
I digress sorry I hope she is better very soon. Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon

Hope DD feels better soon. Does she have a headache? I have been thinking of going through our garage and sorting out odds and ends for a yard sale. This time of year is windy though, so I might hold off for a couple of months.

Sitting her e listening to Connie Francis greatest hits.. humming along..
that woman had a set of pipes!! Concetta Rosemarie Franconero! Compared to any female vocalist today, she is lame`, they are burlap!!

I enjoy discovering old and new things, researching the five W's and enjoying the journey !!
Hers is the ultimate,, kind of like the Beatles and Sinatra combined.. one person did all of that,.. millions upon millions of albums worldwide.. multiple languages!!
okay, had to jot that.. so proud of her..

You just gave me a good idea for some new music! I've been listening to Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Ella Fitzgerald for weeks. I'll have to get some Connie Francis. Thanks for the idea1

Connie is my favourite female vocalist next to Anne Murray (have to stay true to Canada you know). Such innocent times when she was a huge hit, wish we could get some of that innocence and trust back so our kids could enjoy it.

Taken from Onehealthynut.com

Original Strep throat remedy recipe that works!

1T pure honey
1/4t cayenne pepper
4 cloves garlic,pressed .

Those are the proportions, but you'll need more than that, so take 4T honey, 1t cayenne pepper,16 cloves garlic, pressed. Mix together. Take 1/2t to 1t of formula every 30-60 minutes.
Don't wash it down-- let the honey coat the throat, then the cayenne, being a rubefacient, will bring the blood into the area, then your immune system will be stimulated with the garlic. Garlic is an anti-bacterial,anti-fungal, and anti-viral, so anything that may be causing the sore throat, the garlic, along with the cayenne and the honey coating the areas, will take care of the problem.

How long does it take to get over strep throat with the standard medical procedure? Ten days. This herbal remedy will generally get over strep throat in 24 hours.
Take what you like and leave the rest.

I am just posting this for anybody who wishes to try it.. I am not a doctor or chemist.

Colder Monday

It seems like a lot of sparkers are in the throes of, or recovering from flu, or some stomach virus(flu is respiratory). Yesterday I came across a recipe from sparker sherrylyn that is simple and homeopathic, for strep throat treatment.. in 24 hours. It is supposed to get rid of it in one day if you follow instructions.

It has three ingredients, cayenne pepper, honey, and crushed garlic. You swallow a teaspoon every 30-60 minutes for 24 hours and the strep throat is gone!
If and when I ever get the symptoms, I will try this.. anybody wants the recipe, let me know.. she had he link on her blog on yesterdays message board. obviously, we are not doctors, But each ingredient has the healing properties for such a thing.. take what you liked and leave the rest...

Dunno about the honey (which I love, but which my blood glucose doesn't!) but I'm a real believer in the capsicum (sp?) in cayenne and ...whatever... is in garlic. Sometimes I think you can't beat natural cures for what ails ya!

Yep, I did the PB route too - makes 'em work at it till the trap springs. A couple years ago I was helping my mother set some traps in her basement. Before I baited and set them, I tied a long piece of string to each one. "What's that for?" she asked. "Because I refuse to touch the things once there's a dead mouse in them. I will pick them up by the string and throw them out." "But then we have to buy new traps!" [This from the woman who refused to touch the traps at all if they caught anything.]

"Ma, they're 89 cents apiece - I'll go to the hardware store and replace any traps I throw out!"

Worked a treat, lol...
