I recently decorated my page to reflect the Christmas season, but one of my Sparkfriends seemed to be in pain when he/she tried to look at the colors, so I am taming it down to help with that. I am not offended, as a mater of fact, one of MY Sparkfriends has a page with very bright colors all of the time and I stopped going there because of that, I could never read anything, it hurt my eyes to try and it was not pleasing to MY eyes. I now just comment on her message board messages.
i am glad they did mention it to me,, what if I offended someone and they stopped reading because I chose those colors. I just got tired of pastels and thought I would go for the macho-Santa-elf theme for a few weeks, but I changed this to forest green for the manly-man theme for delicate eyeballs.

I returned to work today and it was not as bad as I thought. I slept from Friday evening at 11 until Saturday until nine , then back to sleep from ten Am. until 6 p.m.,, then back to bed at eight p.m until 9 Am. Sunday morning.. Then back to bed last night at seven until eight Am this morning...

DD and I ran errands when I got home from work,, now back to work and bill paying..

The prep for my scope is called Nulitely.
It cannot possibly be as bad as the dreaded Citrate of Mag (8 oz., then NINE Dulcolax pills, then enemas until clear, then suppositories. that was the last prep I did in the 70's. Clear liquids was the least of one's worries back then!!!!!!! Did you guys ever think of just plugging your nose??????
If it tastes no worse than the worm in the bottom of a tequila bottle, It will be a breeze to drink..

Bakc in my younger days, I made quite a bit of money from people betting me I would not eat that worm(I could not drink the booze) ,, I think in one winter I stashed a cool $200 at $5 a pop by betting people I could.. No taste, chased it with a big root beer and I made enough money to go to Disneyland for a week!! On WORM MONEY!!
It is the after-effects I fear.. so happy we got two new (No pun intended, I swear) stools last month!!

Keep on sparking and good luck with your procedure. Worms...ick! I could eat them for five dollars too though.

Oh my gosh, Linda! I can't imagine eating the worm in a bottle of Tequila! I have to admit that I have food prejudices. If it doesn't look good, I'm not touching it!
Your colors are fine. I have to agree that some pages are VERY difficult to visit, much less read. Hope you're not snowed in! emoticon

I have not taken a fence. I'm not sitting on a fence. I like forests and trees and rivers and dogs and deers and stuff. I know what bears and things do in the woods. I've never eaten the worm. I drink beer and bourbon sometimes. I don't smoke cigars. I'm too dang old to be manly, more like a curmudgeonly old so-and-so.

I like your blog. I like your page.

We got your ugly weather today. It took that long to get here. I commented on it in my blog today. Did you ever wonder about how the world is designed to ship tons and tons of water from west to east for free, but if we tried to ship it back it would cost more than we have?

Have a great evening. emoticon

I actually blogged that because Black on blue is just a bruising to the eyeballs too.

Your worm story reminded me of eating apples in the movies. I never bought candy i always bought one apple and after I had eaten i my big brother said it had a worm in it. I was ready to heave but I am one of those squeamish people and I blame it on my brother. Who I love dearly but rarely hear from. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I probably slept longer last night and this morning than I can remember in about forty years. The antivert makes me drowsy, as do the other two Rx meds I take, so I slept in the chair about nine hours, then went to bed and slept another thirteen hours. DD and I went to pick up a few essentials at the grocery store and back home, Fell asleep again in chair, but feeling a little bit stronger..

Today I am going to move around indoors, do some paperwork and laundry. I feel like I am in a haze. I was in pain last night and had a headache,, DD applied the Native American balm to my forehead, pain was gone within a half hour. I applied Minagin (Naive American) ointment to my hands and feet, pain gone within a half hour. I slept very peacefully.

I still need to buy the product called Nulitely for my scope prep. Clear liquids the day before, start the product at noon, , enjoy a close, personal relationship with my two bathrooms until scope time Dec 18. What a difference from the last ones I had in the 70's!!
I did everything but crank up a power washer back then. What an ordeal..

Glad you are getting good quality sleep. Be careful with mixing those sleep / drowsy aids. How's the ear feeling?

Scope? you mean Colonoscopy? that's coming up? Oh Joy! I used what was called Suprep day before.

Best of luck on that test.

Powerwash? bwahahahahahahahaha

Feeling easier to walk erect like a real human this morning, but still kind of dizzy. Letting DD drive, trying to take it easy today,,, will be finishing putting our little tree up and decorating it, just pay some bills and start my Christmas cards.
Since the meds make me drowsy, I cannot really get any one long task completed. very discouraging. I did call my work place and tell Tommy that I need the time off from work for the colonoscopy. Jingle bells t me. SO glad I paid attention to all of the people on m diabetes team when they had their procedures.
It is so darned easy now, not a big deal for prep...

I have one beginning of next year. I hope that prep is changed and easy.

Happy the meds are helping some now but as soon as it gets right in to the system you should feel better in a few days. I hope you wear a hat or ear muffs, if I get cold ears there will usually be a problem HUGS Pat in Maine.

got rushed into doc office yesterday before they closed. Turns out I now have a middle ear infection,, both drums bulging out to beat the band,, Doc kept asking me if I felt funny on either side of ears.. any pain or pressure.. ? Ordered antibiotic and antivert to kep me on an even keel so to speak.. Now, my doc knows me well enough that he waited to see what else was wrong.. I hate to bother the doctor, so i always wait until I am half dead before I call them.. this trip was no different. I told him about my neuropathy, I get a whole sheet of labs to be drawn right away..

I mentioned that I had three colonoscopies in 19773 and 1974 with bleeding polyp removal, so after he almost faints from shock, he picks up the phone and orders one for me. He tells me I should have had one at least when I was fifty years old. Oops, I say, I FORGOT... right!! He looks at me over the top of his glasses, tells me it is his fault, apologizes and says it will never happen again.. we are the same age, so he knows that I should not have gotten away with it this long..

My heart and lungs sound normal, so I get out of there just be the skin of my teeth without having to have major surgery or a severe scolding... he is not like that,,

My last trip there was last spring,, in fact, only three of teh employees there even knew me.. I am that scarce..
Today I pre-registered with internists office and hospital, took my meds, then DD and I dropped her car off to car hospital out in the boonies to get her electrical stuff repaired.. Her guy will be sleeping in Mike's workshop over the weekend...

I still feel dizzy, drowsy, but i did have to call in sick this morning due to losing my cookies in teh middle of the night and being dizzy enough to almost fall..

I am hoping that a couple more doses of the antibiotic and the antivert, will help me over the weekend. My scope is scheduled for week after next.. a week before Christmas.. an early present..

I am very tired and still nauseated sometimes, but glad I got the full service treatment yesterday,, got to keep the old machine tuned up as best I can..

LINDA, Have they ruled out POSITIONAL VERTIGO, I went to an Ear, Nose and Throat office and they have a Vertigo Specialist. I hope they can rule it out or treat it. Mine has been gone since they treated it with a session of Therapy. I was walking in to walls when I went through doorways, I would look at the ceiling as I was lying down and the room was spinning and I was also seeing double sometimes. I hope they find the cause of this. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
