We actually opened our windows again for a couple hours, but hurriedly closed them again when we returned home this morning. First trip was to bank for mom deposits,, second to Ace hardware for mosquito bombs for parental garage. Third place was store to buy a dehumidifier for the basement.. putting our big one in parental basement and keeping this one.
Temp is hot and humid,, but sunny,, DD going to mow our lawn and I am in charge of bailing the basement today.. kitchen stuff to do,, no canning this year,, no tomatoes to be had in Mid Michigan,, everybody is canning to save $$ in this horrible economy, but weather killed them and the apples, so no applesauce or homemade apple pie filling either.
Just freezing green peppers this year.. and our blackberries and raspberries form our yard.
I sure got my cardio in this morning hauling that humidifier down the basement stairs, moving boxes out of the way., filling some pantry things in. We did lots of walking while shopping too.. the Meijer superstore is humongo!!!! Of course, the three things I bought were in opposite parts of the store..okay with me, I need to roll the fat off somehow.

Sometimes life kicks us around, sending us into a sad time or leaves us with little or no motivation. today was very long day at work because I knew I had three thousand and one things to do after work.
I was very absorbed in my checklist of important errandes until on person came in to work and ten mintues later, her daughter called to tell her that co-workers grandpa died.. very expecte,, tehyjus tmoved him to Hospice tow days ago,, hew was 98 years old,, BUT this person stayed at aork saying that all larrangements had been made already, she could not afford to take time off unpaid, so she fought tears all day, as busy as it was being Labor Day weekend, she did her job, manned-up and got through it. I am proud of her for making this practical decision and still managing to manage the business for eight hours flawlessly. It is highly stressful, but she sailed through.
By the time I got home, exhausted, I just shoered, dressed, and DD and i ran our errands to post office, bank, parental home, gas station,,
NOw, Dd has slipped on the garage step and injured her back,, is in bed, she slippe don step, tried to break her fall against my car, and ended up body-slamming against teh storm door! I was terrified that she broke the glass and it would go through her body!! God held her and she did severely sparin her back, but was not impaled by a glass door section. I applied Biofreeze to her back,, now she is sitting up with warm, moist pack to her back,, scary time..
I hope all who read this have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend, remembering the life sacrifices those men made for us here in Michigan, so we could have safe workplaces, fair wages and hopefully a healthier life for all of these following generations.

The title to this blog is for Sharon,, as of yesterday,,
Today is just busy stuff, bill paying, calls to credit union, calculating deposits and withdrawals..
Ex hub informed me yesterday that there is an unusual swarm of aggressive mosquitoes in parents garage that attacked him yesterday while he was looking for toilet thingies.. I need to get over there and bomb the garage now,, as if it was not enough two years ago when those red and black beetle things swarmed parents house when the tree fell on it.. it took us four months to kill them all and guard from them infesting the interior of the house..
I just read the WN virus article, so I will go there tomorrow and do that,, got some major banking to do , will be busy doing mom things again after work,,
Things like this are a daily event,, five or six dumb things that I never had to deal with before,, this is why my vacation is essential to my health.. way too short, way too far apart, but every second away from here is Nirvana to me, no matter how simple..
One positive thing that did happen before I left for vacation: I entered this sort of contest at my credit union.. it is called save to win,, you make a minimum $25 deposit every week for a year,, each deposit gets you an entry to win a possible $50 monthly, $1,000 every six months, and at the end, the Grand prize is $5,000. All the CU around here are participating so there are thousands and thousands of members that are doing it.. at the end of a year, you can cash the CD in, so no big deal, BUT I actually WON $50 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called today to see if they deposited it in my savings account,, they did last week!! Guess where that $$ is going?? vacation fund,, every penny I find, all the change I get from anything, I put in the fund,, I also won a $5 gift card adn some free meals form work the day before I left..
I pray we stay healthy enough to go next year,, oh, another thing that happened,,,
DD and I have been using Minagin and Nojmuk, a Native American salve I started buying at the Blueberry festival last year,, Mine is for my fibro, arthritis, diabetic neuropathy,, DD uses Nojmuk for her severe contact dermatitis and eczema.. They work miraculously!! All hand picked herbs,, made right in MIchigan.. anyway, I had been emailing Nathan, the owner, about DD severe skin probs, asking him if he could make much larger containers to sell to us,(he told me I am his best customer) because she uses it all over her body..
He finally got to meet DD last week, he talked to DD and after a few minutes of her showing him how her body had healed, he asked her if she would make a testimonial online.. he had her hold his notebook facing her, he stood behind it , asking her questions,, and that was that,, I then told him how it helped me,, he asked me to do one too.. I did..
All this time, people are walking up, checking out his products, we are telling them how it worked for us,, I think we sold at least five or six hundred dollars of it for him in about an hour.. I am proud to promote this, it is wonderful.. anyway, he gave us free product.. he is our new best friend..
I also left work on the day before we left and somebody had dropped a handful of quarters all over the parking lot.. I looked around, stood there, but nobody around,, I got a windfall of a few bucks for just bending over!!!!!! Mackinac Bridge fare!!! (it is $4 this year)..
So, DD and I should be featured on Nathan's Herbal Lodge website soon,, he has to send us releases to sign, then he can post it..

Glad ex came over yesterday,, today he repaired parental unit upstairs toilet,, I had tried a long time ago, but could not get the fixtures to cooperate with me.. he informed me that parents mower deck will be ready by next Monday at the latest,, he also brought his mower to mow their lawn..
Life is getting back in the old patterns of work, work, work,,
352 days until vacation in 2013..
