Another beautiful summer day here, still humid, but only in mid 89 degree range,,
DD and I went to a neighbor's bridal shower, I was a good girl there too,, they had choices of chicken salad or ham or turkey sandwiches.. I chose the latter,, no dessert, but fresh fruit spears, bottled water instead of any punch or pop. No snacks or pastries either..
I hope everybody is having a nice weekend,, better weather and time with family and friends..

I was not very good last night,, I was very hungry to the point of being sick to my stomach, and had sherbet, banana, and an egg sandwich throughout the course of the hours between 5-10 P.M. I ate when I came home from work at noonish, so was very hungry when we returned from our errands.. Oh, I DID have a very small apple to try to get me through the evening, but I apparently burned more calories at work than I anticipated, thus making my tummy bear growl to beat the band.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda and if.. biggest words in the world.. IF i had stopped to think, I would have spaced things differently,,
Well, I didn't kill anybody, just let my brains sleep for awhile,, today I am going to be more conscious of this pattern I seem to be getting into and just being lazy, I guess..

We have had another thunderstorm here,, in the high 80's,, 100% humidity..
Gully-washers of rain here,, it is darker than when I left for work at 4:30 this morning!!
i have the daily schedule at the ready until we leave.. today was sandal and clothing shopping after work,, DD got a few tops,some new sport bras, sandals.
I got new undies, tops. We left that store and stopped to pick up one of my Rx's, then to the pumps to fill-er-up! At Krogers, we get rewards for money we spend on my credit card and in-store, SO we got 40 cents off per gallon,, HOWEVER, I still heated my card up because the gas was $3.13/gal after discount. The gas limit at that price is 35 gallons, so we filled my tank, then we fill five 5-gallon cans and two 2-gallon cans.
The great news came just as we were preparing to go out the door ..
I got a phone call form my health insurance company. Included in my insurance costs, is highly discounted Rx mail-order service!!
It took about fifteen minutes of info to the very nice lady on the other end. the result is that now, instead of paying $$ every month for Rx's,, I will save 2/3 of the money, the meds are shipped directly to me, auto-pay on my points visa card, earning me points every time,, AND I will save $240 a year just for the Rx's I have now...
No calling in for refills, no going into Krogers and picking it up,, also, I will get a 90 day supply instead of 30 days.. less hassle!!
So, being the tightwad(polite word is thrifty) I am, I will automatically put that $$ I save, into the credit union for a rainy day.. what a nice day... I am happy right now..

I worked some extra hosurs today for a co-worker,, it is still very hot and humid, so I think I lost soem water tehre, BUT I drink a minimum of 10 ups day plus other fluids, so I am well hydrated. We are getting excited about vacation, so will be starting to pack next weekend. I have my charts, lists,, make hair appt, groceries, pay bills, get tires and under the hood checked, etc...
We had a nice thunder storm last night to hydrate my berries. We will have to realy soak them before we leave,, will be coming home with a lot of huckleberries.

Met my oldest friend for lunch today about fifteen miles from my home.. Had a caprese` salad with cherry vinaigrette dressing, as they were out of balsamic..
dee-lish!!
We only see each other once or twice a year, so it was a three hour gabfest, but very enjoyable.
I drank two very large(28 oz) glasses of water,, ANd Spark thinking kept me from ordering the homemade pie ala` mode. Patsy kept asking me if I wanted dessert, I refused, told her to go ahead, but she did not,,
those pies were about seven or eight inches high.. we could smell them baking in the back,, but I did not..
I have pineapple sherbet here and Italian ice...
tomorrow is a very long work day,, I picked up some time from another person,,
I will be happy to see the weekend..
