I think I have not lost weight lately, but my trousers are fitting less snugly. We are still sitting here wondering what we are going to do with to thousands of hours we usually spent in the pool all summer,, I would come home from work, get swimsuit on immediately, jump in and be in there until dinnertime,, about four hours,, then another swim afterwards,, on weekends, it was all day from early morning until bedtime..
our bay supposedly has thick, slimy sludge that you have to wade through to get out to to nice water,, I am going to investigate soon.. we already hike there frequently, might as well cool off too.. we will see,,

With all the work you have been doing, it's no wonder your trousers are fitting looser!! You are doing a great job. Didn't mean to push the pool thing earlier...sorry.
Blessings and hugs,
Helen

HI LINDA, DH fell on to and in to the pool cover and as I thought our liner is floating. This is decision time, big time for us too. Ours is concrete and steel. I still think I will stock it with trout and let the grands fish all day. HUGS, I will not miss ours but I know you will miss yours. I think you could handle another but winterising is the pits with a short season up here. HUGS Take care Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Do any of your friends or neighbors have a pool that they will share with you? McKenzie's parents got an awesome pool from Sears (i think) that is 18' by 9' by 5 feet deep that doesn't use all those chemicals but rather uses salt. It is big enough for them to all play around in and cool off even if her parents at 6' plus are too tall to swim laps. They do have rafts in it, etc. and have a great time.
This will show you the pool they have although theirs came from Sears.

Not sure that you are in the market for another pool of your own. But this one can be left up even through the winter also.
Hope you can find one close by that you and DD can pop in and out of at your convenience.
Blessings and hugs,
Helen

I vote for getting another pool.
Water shoes would help keep that guck off your pretty feet. I don't know about your legs though.

DD threw her pool cover away. Her trash man told her he sure wished she had cut it up into smaller pieces and put into more trash bags because it was so heavy. How did he think she got it out to the road for him. lol
I am sure you really miss your pool. Have you found a substitute one close to you yet that you will be able to enjoy? WOOHOO on the cardio and strength exercises today!!!
I am counting the days with you..
Blessings and hugs,
Helen

Hi LINDA, Sorry about the stinky pool cover. Ours is still on the pool. Almost the first day of summer and still a cool breeze.
I cut down more junipers and I am taking back what little back yard we have left. We put the pool in and lost space and then a 2 car garage, it's still not big enough. So we are re-claiming by cutting them down. Every time DH cuts the grass he ends up bleeding so i decided to get rid of the mess. Never realised how fat the trunk is. WOWSERS! are they ever big an\d heavy.

HUGS Keep on counting. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

A VERY long and hard day today,, rose at 3 a.m..., worked from 3:45a.m until 1:05p.m.. I am VERY tired!!!
I just finished drinking a half gallon of lemonade, will polish that off with another half gallon of water.. I drank two glass of iced tea before the lemonade, plus another two glasses of water at work.. I think I have my fluid intake for the day ,, especially water!!!
A coworker's family raises chickens as pets, as a hobby,, they have one chicken who lays BLUE EGGS.. Yes, blue!! I bought some and will boil a couple of them and take them to my mom this weekend for a goof. He calls them their Easter eggs!! They are a pale blue. some of them have little spots on them,, but they a are pale blue!!
They are organic,, nothing fed to these chickens but corn and organic feed!!

I remember my grandmother having chickens that laid baby blue (powder blue) eggs. I remember telling her I didn't like those ones. (I had never tasted them either) lol

I wrote this and lost it. I did say I like duck eggs and we have no chicken farms any more. We do eat chickens , HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I had some of those chickens at one time. We would get blue, pink and green eggs. They were always a conversation piece and just as good as any other to eat!

64 days ..

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Thank you to the below sparkers who supported me yesterday with their suggestions and comments.. Yes, I am already taking tart cherry capsules for my arthritis and hopefully i twill ease the fibro pain,, taking 7 keto DHEA for metabolism.. Rx pain pills put me to sleep within minutes, as do 200 mg ibuprofin, so unless I am going to be sitting or lying down for the day or night, I must endure the pain,, TM does help when I can relax enough to go deep enough to get away from the agony like the past two days.

today the crucifixion pain has stopped.. now it is just complete body throbbing aches,, you know when you had that virus where your hair hurt?? Every joint, muscle hurt? that is a fibromyalgia patients daily life.. no exaggeration.. I was told I did not need anything but a boyfriend to distract me,, by a medical professional!! I finally went to a neurosurgeon to get my carpal tunnel surgery done,, he suggested I go to a rheumatologist for rheumatoid arthritis.. THAT guy knew within three minutes I was a classic severe case of fibro
You could have knocked me over with a feather when he said those words.. I was all steeled to take the horrifying DX of rheumatoid arthritis!!..

Remember when you went on your first hike or canoe trip or whatever?? The next day you prayed somebody would cut your limbs off or knock you out to get you out of the agony your body was in?? That IS 24/7 for a fibro patient.
Today I worked, hobbling around just praying and knowing that God would let me get through it until I could get home and be off my feet, exercise to stretch some muscles slowly,, take an ibuprofin...
please, if somebody tells you they have this, know that they are enduring, they are trying to figure out what part of their body will end them in a pain throe next. After awhile, you learn to just let the pain be part of you, unless you give up and curl up in a ball and whimper, let this take over your life...
Saying, "I cannot imagine how you must feel,,,, " lets that person know you understand, but at the very least, BELIEVE THEM..
