I am now posting my countdown to make the vacation time seem more real. I have already started bundling sunscreens, books, foods that are convenient yet nourishing for our trip. SInce I made up a packing list the day after my LAST vacation, I am set for knowing what to bring. WHen I called to deposit $$ for reserve, I had a list made up of things I did NOT see last year in teh one bedroom cabin, so asked owners exactly what is in the kitchen.

She was surprised that I was so early and organized, that I thought of little things that most people do not think of until they get up there.. I am a list person, checking things off as I go,,I have always been like that, but now with the fibromyalgia, it is essential that I do or I would forget everything.. I do..

The high temps and high humidity keeps me in the house today,, 70 degrees in here without a/c..just closed windows..
no sleep again last night even after a pain pill, so will do things I can do without pain indoors..

My dd is also a list person and the most organized person I have ever met. She probably gets it honestly although I am sure it drives her dh a bit crazy. But she is always prepared.
Sure hope you are able to get some relief from your pain. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Linda i too am a list person. Every time we make a trip I make a list and check it off.
Unfortunately I often come home with the next list to add to the first list. Usually by list #3 I am organised again.
Hope you can find some pain relief, HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Very good to be organized.

You and K need some rest and do nothing for one day.

A nice sunny day.

As we travel through this life, we are meant to stop and appreciate things that we see in our everyday life. Count the veins in a leaf, get really close to a flower when bumblebee is in it(no, they will not sting you) or just sit and watch birds or ants go along their industrious way. It will make you feel lazy and make you want to do SOMETHING to feel useful!!
My personal favorite is ants. Been doing it since I can remember... Get comfortable by an anthill or a crack in the sidewalk anywhere and watch them,, you cannot stop them from their journey to get and fetch and serve the hill!! reminds me of my job....

I lost my response before it posted. UGH!!! Great blog. Hope this means you are feeling better. I do stop and smell the flowers, watch the animals, etc. when walking our trails. Yesterday I was watching the ants between the sidewalks when I took out the trash.
Hope you are getting some restful sleep.

I love watching the sun rise as I'm walking my 2 miles in the park. When I'm done, I enjoy the morning outside on my porch with my puppies as we watch and listen to the birds.

Great advice. Thank you. I DO stop and smell flowers, but I don't examine them closely.

Trying to add even more water intake today,, Still taking the white kidney bean extract and

7 keto DHEA, Still having the hot electric needles pain everywhere, not as frequently, but enough to make more than a 45 minute sleep cycle impossible... This morning , after seven trips to the ladies room at night, I got up and fell to the floor with dizziness,,, the fluid buildup in m inner ear was bad, so went to work anyway,, hoping to lose the water over the course of the day, it was along day too, I worked over yesterday and today for a coworker to get the extra hours..
tomorrow I am not volunteering to stay for anybody, I am in pain and exhausted, this darned fibromyalgia is accelerating..

I hope that you are soon able to get some restful sleep and that the pain eases for you. I have no idea how you are doing all that you do. Praying for you and your DD.

A friend of mine with meniere's disease (with vertigo and fluid build up behind her ears) has been helped by taking curcumin (the active ingredient in tumeric).

hot electric needle??? That sounds like what i felt in the hands wrists and arms when i had carpal tunnel syndrom. Where else are you feeling that? Is that actually what fibro feels like? A friend told me fibro feels like really bad muscle spasms. Hope you and Kristy can both forget about chores and REST.

We had a few hours free from rain we walked the rail trail for 4 miles. when i get my walk in I usually have a good sleep. I still take 3 mg of melatonin and it has been my lifesaver I always wake up with the sun.

I think you have to be awake long before the sun though so early nights have to become a habit. HUGS LINDA emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

grateful for what I CAN do, not mad about what I cannot... I am blessed..

LINDA I am glad your weather is improved I was able to walk outside and that helped. We are still getting a lot of rain and flooding in the area. Many washed out roads and trees roaring down the river and hitting the Abutment's of old bridges, they were closed.
Now they have to be inspected so there are closed roads and detours. Better to be safe than sorry though.
I hope the weather will be kinder to you. Too bad it has to be a longer work day. Hugs Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon
