Heading north

If you don't hear from me for a few days, don't worry - we're heading out of San Jose northward, then will head out to the Pacific coast - and we don't know what we'll find in the way of wifi availability. I'll post when I can!

A busy day ends in a tango fest!

We went to the central market, got stuck in a thunderstorm in town, had a pretty good day - and the restaurant we went to for dinner had a tango show going on, so DH and I danced a brief tango and had a great Italian dinner. Oh, and more cereus blooms popped out - just gorgeous!

I cannot tell you how exciting this was!!!!!!!!! We went to the museum, and they start with a big butterfly garden and explanations about how the butterflies help the environment, and how the plants feed the butterflies - and there were tons of blue morphos, two of whom posed for me!

Great photos! What a great summer YOU are having! I loved the butterfly exhibit at Hershey Gardens but I was afraid to walk around and accidentally step on one! The day I went was the day I got my first digital camera in the mail....that recorded to floppy disks...I had a ball photographing butterflies up close and personal. Sort of didn't have a choice on going back over the bridge - the other trail led back out to the far end, where we had already been. I had to talk myself across, hanging on to both sides the entire way. NOT my idea of fun! Cloud forest is extremely fun, though - everything is just permanently dripping wet and green!
