I totally went to my boyfriends family cabin this week. It was great. Except the S'mores those were yummy and full of calories. I only get s'mores like one or two times a year so I ate them with my hearts delight. I went out paddle boating for an hour which was great cardio and fun breaking the ice on the lake..yep there was still ice on the lake and we went out in a paddle boat. Crazy Minnesotans I suppose we don't let anything get in our way when we want too.
Yesterday I weighed myself, and took measurements for a new month, I shrunk some more, not a lot but the numbers were smaller. My weight didn't even do so bad, which is even nice. My goal today is of course to get back on track and keep that shrinking numbers going.

My Calves hurt, they started last night. I stretched, but apparently not enough, and I didn't really do any exercises that would have worked those muscles too much. Yesterday was my arms. Which of course don't hurt at all. If I walk on my toes my legs don't hurt too much, which of course isn't very convenient.

My bathroom scale has been very evil. Since January it has said the same #. This is no matter what time of day, naked or clothed it didn't matter. My Wii Balance board said something of 10-15 lbs different. However, Lately I've been stuck between a few lbs. I've been able to fit in size 12 jeans, my measurements have shrunk, yet the weight has fluctuated between 182 and 178 Not very convincing for me. While the Bathroom scale tells me 189. Well I recalled, that the Balance board doesn't work as well on carpet, so I did it on a hard surface. BAM 20lbs have been lost over the month. Which makes some sense to me, maybe not that much, but it's believe able than 189. I'm still going to try another way to weigh myself but for now I am going to believe the 20lbs lost, because I haven't fit in a size 12 jeans for a couple of years and I was able to get in comfortably. If I find something of a different weight, I'll be sad, but I won't let it ruin my day or my progress of exercising every day.
Update- I did the balance board on 2 other different surfaces. One, had me at 185 and the other surface had me at 195. So I am going to say it's not very accurate. I think the best way is for me to use a scale from a doctors office. The other thing, is I can't see me gaining weight with some shifts in my fat like my muffin top is disapearing just not my belly, and measurements are shrinking. I can't imagine Fat or muscle making that big of a difference. So I'm going to stick to the balance board on the the lifts for steps until otherwise, at least it is motivation. What do you guys think?
Updated part 2
I got weighed on a real scale, 181 so I guess that is where I will be. So the Balance Board isn't too far off, and the bathroom scale either. I guess I'll go back to the real way. But I was told, that I weighed 202 at the end of Feb by my Dr. office so I have lost the 21 lbs So that is a good thing. =)

Boy did I pay for that. I was craving chocolate yesterday. I totally gave in, and finished off my box of tagalongs. I ended up making Derek eat the last one so I had 9 instead of 10. I was on target before that, but I was bored, I was craving and I had nothing else to do that would settle that crave. Worst yet, I wasn't even hungry at that time. I paid the price today, I feel sluggish, and not even in a good mood. I feel so guilty I had been so good for so long, only to throw it away over boredom. So, today I start over again.

I remember growing up, and mom trying to do some new aerobic vhs or later possibly dvd. Even Sweating to the Oldies infomercials seem to do the same. They encourage you to push yourself, and to keep going. They go fast pace, and instead of being sympathetic to the person who is actually doing there video. Go Go go don't stop come on you can do it. Yes Eventually probably I or that person could do it. But not their first day. I know I could never have. In my twenties I found that to be very true.
What I see different with Coach Nicole and her videos, not only does she encourage you to Go at your own pace, and in some cases give modified way to do an exercise. As long as we keep moving, it's good. Go at your own pace, pause the video if you need too. For me that is so much more encouraging. It also is only her, no other people who can do the exercises perfect and look firm and is not a beginner. I also love who she says in some stretches, it's ok if you knees are bent here. I like touching the ground with my knees bent, and straightening up and feeling the stretch instead of just trying to touch my toes. The videos are just easy to follow, directed to just that person who ever we are, to do it at our own pace. I am more willing to do a 10 minute video with Couch Nicole than throw in some video that has an over caffeinated Muppet and their army.
If you yet to check out a sparkpeople video check them out, and march your way to loving to exercise.
Another thing, is the other workout videos out there might work for you it's all about individual taste.
