Tonight D and I went to the Rollerdome now that it is reopened, and I had some skates. We also had a BOGO coupon for tonight. My good friend and jeerleader Goldie Luxe came along too.
I went around 10x with very little stopping, mostly if stopping to catch my breath, and hydrate. (oh and to stretch) It is 2.5x around the concourse to equal a mile, so I got in 4 miles. Talk about some cardio. I got some pointers from Goldies friend who is or was a Minnesota Roller Girl, and another (skater in training) she is a medic at the bouts. So I learned out to do a T stop, but have yet to do it, I need some knee pads for that. and how to exert less energy and to push off with both feet. BALANCE!! is a huge key, and less arm movements. I have a lot to work on, but I can't wait, until I can do more and get around more times. I can't wait to go again, I hope soon. I had a lot of fun, and I want to keep practicing.

This is a picture of the Metrodome currently. We are able to skate on the concourse, that isn't part of the dome part.
