A good time to exercise?

When is a good time to exercise? Some people on the message boards say, AM, I'm not a morning person. I can get up for a job or if I have to go some place, but if I'm staying home, then I don't care, because my bed is just in the other room. Some say, exercise when you can.

Everything else I find is always conflicting so I don't know what to do. I'm also embarrassed to exercise in front of my boyfriend, who is usually watching TV. We usually toss the remote back and forth, and I'm able to watch most of my shows. It is just exercising in front of him is just embarrassing.

So tonight I exercised at 10:45-11:15. I know I should be on a regular schedule going to sleep, waking up exercising all about the same time. Idea's that can implement would be wonderful.

    For me it's easier since I am so much more a morning person than a night owl. I get up at 4:45 each morning and do the treadmill before work. I then throw in a 30 minute exercise bike ride at lunch (I'm lucky my job has one I can use) and then pedal a little exercise cycle thing while sitting in front of the TV with hubby and kids in the evenings before bed. It doesn't work me too hard but keeps me moving instead of just sitting there watching tv. But for you - I think you have to go with when you can fit it in. If you try a set schedule and then don't stick with it - you're less likely to exercise at all - do what works for you. If you can exercise at night and still go to bed and get a good nights sleep - go for it!

    Hi I don't think its good to exercise at night, then you would be doing the opposite. Instead of getting ready for night, you would be giving your body energy to get ready. That's my thought. Stretching on the other hand is different.

I didn't go over

I'm so happy, today I didn't go over on my tracker. I'm under but that is relative since, the veg. fried rice recipe today, was altered a little by my boyfriend. So, I'm probably in range and not under. I do know that I didn't go over. I'm day 5 no pop all my water is in.

I didn't exercise, today nor did I get to it yesterday. I'm too embarrassed to exercise when my boyfriend is home, and watching TV . Even though I did go outside and scrap my car of ice which took 25-30 minutes to do. It hadn't been done since last week's rain and snow and freeze. It took a couple of minutes to open my door and since the heat isn't working in my car, and defrost as well I did't have a lot of help so actually I did have an upper body work out for my arms.

    Good job at staying in your calorie range. I went over yesterday. The 1st time in 3 days. Let me know what I can do for you to get your exercise in. For me I only get results if I do both exercise and eating right. I have a feeling this year is going to be our year.

    hi! keep going!! staying in your calorie range can be a tough challenge!!! and yes.. scrapping ice from your car counts! trust me.. same as plowing snow :)

4 days no Pepsi

I'm on day four of not having regular pop. Last night I had to buy some sprite so I went with diet sprite zero. I had an upset stomach and the way it was feeling, was I needed to sip on some sprite. Today, I had a glass of sprite and the rest of my day has been water. Feeling pretty good about sticking to no pop. With this also means I haven't had caffeine.

    CONGRATS!
I'm on day 9 (I used to be a Dr.Pepper drinker) I also used to drink coffee by the bucket... I'm allowing myself one cup of coffee each morning, I love the stuff and make a point to really enjoy that one cup!

Working up a sweat

Today I pushed myself. I worked up a sweat and went the distance. It wasn't the 45 min-60 minutes of cardio I use to be able to do (last spring/summer) but it was something. I didn't give up but I wanted to.

I'm doing the 28 day bootcamp challenge. Which so far as gone well, No I'm not up to 30 minutes cardio but I am working up a sweat with the Walk it out video 2x is my limit this week. I think, next week I'll be able to do it 3x or mix it up and get the 30 minutes in.

smaller achievable target weight

I've decided to make smaller goals. My target weight is to get down to 120lbs but I'm only going to work on the short term goal.
So, by doing that I've set up my target weight goal for March 1, 2011 and that will have me lose 16lbs that is 2 months away and probably achievable at the very least it will be I'll be close.

    that is exactly what I do!! I have a lot of weight to lose but when i look at that giant amount it freaks me out. Good for you!! You can do it!

    Sounds good to me! I think I need to put that as my goal too - unfortnately - that would be the 16 pounds I've gained back in the las t6 weeks :( OK - maybe not a full 16 but at least 10!
