2011 Bay to Breakers !!! I did it... with 55,000 other runners and walkers...

Monday, May 16, 2011

Morning Sparkpeople Family,

I did it!!!

The night before it rained in the City, but not heavy. When I work up the weather looked good. I was happy our local Bay Area Transit ran the train earlier than schedule to accommodate the runners and walkers. I was schedule to start the race at 7:00 am. When I got there, it was people and group in all kinds of home made costumes. That had these Salmons swimming up stream. I made a crown with the verbiage " Bay To Breakers". In my Corral ( C) There were acouple of people "NAKED" nothing was all hanging out..( if you know what I mean ). The people who were walking should of been in the last Corral, because it slows down the people, who actually want to run,so I had to run around and cut through people. At mile 6, it started raining, but at mile 7 it was gone...The race start at Embarcadero and ended at the Beach ( Great Highway ).

12K = 7.46 miles

My Time was [ 1:31 ]
I stopped three times ,due to my shins flaring up or because jump in front of me and threw me off,but I still enjoyed my run.

The Women's Winner Time was [ 39.12 ]

I love the points...

Well Spark Family,

In 2 Days and 23 hrs. The biggest race in the U. S. the San Francisco " Bay to Breakers " 12k ( 7.6 miles ). It's sold-out,because its the 100th Race and for the first time they are giving everyone a medal, if they cross the finish line. Although, the weather man said it's suppose to rain...People won't care because they will be in some kind of Costume and having a good time. Young and Old will run or walk - 55, 000 people .

This race has seven Corrals... I'm in " C" after the Seeded Division. Depending on which corral you are in,that's your start time. The race starts at 7:00 am,and that's the time I start, since I'm in " C". I would like to do it in 1.5 or better...but I'm just happy to be apart of the biggest race in the U.S.

Just checking in...what is up? I hope that to now hear from you you are not doing what I used to do....give up. Get too busy for me and just phase out of self care and my journey to get the is life style change I deserve? I just did it so many times...that I was just embarrassed all the time to start again....but if you are not in that space...I'd love to hear from you! And if you are n that space, I'd love to hear from you! Why, because I can still go to that place without support and a knowing that we do this change thing together.

Take care. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey, once again I had to learn the lesson: me first. I let my family and work take first priority and it shows in my food plan, work out and attitudes.

Boy do I need Spark to remember that my life is mine to care for.

I am so glad I get to stay connected with folks who are changing the way it have you been?

It has been a while. emoticon

Sounds great! And I love the raw pasta made with zuchini. Isn't it great! I have been eating too many raw nuts lately, which doesn't help with weight loss, so I am trying to limit that. I got my dehydrator yesterday and can't wait to make my first recipe.

Michelle in Training for next Marathon - December 6, 2009 26.2 miles

Monday, June 22, 2009

This is beginning and ending of my marathon journey. I said the beginning, because I am training for my fourth marathon, and ending meaning this is the last marathon I am going to do. Today, at lunch time I took a spinning class and when I got home from work, I did some jogging for forty-five minutes. It felt good to get back into the groove again of running.
I will be jogging Monday,Wednesday and Saturdays, but I will also continue to go to the gym and take a spinning class three days a week and a bootcamp class on Tuesday's and Thursday's,so hopefully, that will get me in shape.

Hey, how did the raw food thing go this month...almost half way there, right? What a challenge....preparation is enough to go crazy over...but it seems to be a wonderul idea to clean one out from the inside out...bravo!

I would love the feedback on this health experience.
Take care.
