Week 4

Been going strong with the new partner. Gained back at least 5 pounds. I have met my goal of ten pull ups about two months ago. My trainer challenged me to get ten back in 2006. He moved to N.M. and I took a break but I started again about 6 months ago and finally broke that plateau. It felt great to get it done and now he owes my dinner. I have to go and collect. Maybe in 2009.

New work out partner

Good day all. It's been awhile i guess. Last week I got a new work out partner. It took a long time to hook up with someone since my trainer moved to New Mexico in August of 2006. I tried working out with this guy who was in the gym at the same time as I but we had differing goals. This young guy who used to work at my gym just left for a new position lastg month. He was going in in the mornings and I started to work out with him. He's got a good program that I'm following. My routine needed a change and I'm happy to be doing new exercises. It's been one week since I started working with him and I'll keep you all updated.

Getting through another week

Broke the old steps record. I hit 9800 steps before 8 a.m. Not sure what my toal will be today but I'm going for 30,000. I was up three pounds this morning from the day before because I loaded on carbs last night. I finally took a few days off from the gym and had a double work out this morning. I got there when it opened and lifted for an hour and then went to spin class and hit it hard. Work has been crazy all week. Two key people have been out leaving me with this 1/2 wit. You know they are going to pay me extra for doing 2+ jobs.

I would fluctuate between 164 and 162 for the last few months. Wednesday I was 161.2. Not bad after I ate out a lot last week due to my birthday. I hit the scale the next day and was still reading 161.2. I really like the new scale I got by HoMedics. It measures water content, body fat, & weight. I think I have more body fat than the scale is registering. I think I'm betweem 12 to 15%. My painful corns haven't been that bad lately. Still painful but not enough to immobilize me. I'm averaging about 15,000 steps a day. I plan on hitting spin class tomorrow again. I do know that I took spin class four times in 8 days so I'm sure that extra cardio contributed to the weight loss. I have been slacking on boxing class. I don't think jumping rope would really help my toes too much. I can still work out on the bags and do some ab work.

Good morning all. Happy Friday. Had dinner with my mother and sister last night for my birthday. Started with fried calamari and then had the surf and turf. I got home and my new scale had arrived. I was afraid to even open it after the feast. I did and set it up and got on. 8.6% body fat! I was very happy to see that reading. I still got up earlier than normal and hit the gym when it opens at 4:30. Did my upper body work out and then went to spin class at 5:30 and busted my ass. I hit spin class 2x this week even with my foot issues and think I'll go Sunday too.I'm rather proud of myself. I hit 8'000 steps when I got to work at 7! That's a new record too.
