Have been fighting thrush for about a month now. My morning blood sugar is 124 and I've cut back on yeast and sugar but am still having problems getting over this.
I have not been shopping for and eating good food at home - more eating out which is not only expensive but harder to control.
However I am at 316.4 today so lower than my 50 lb mark. Plan to make grocery list today and shop tomorrow. Am going to go on Candida diet. Also am taking coconut oil and plan to eat more fiber, protein, complex carbs less simple carbs. Have trouble finding proteins I like but will work that out. Goal is 299 by end of year but goal is also to lose 5-10 lb a month until May when my son gets married. Hate photos but if I have to do them would like to be smaller.

Was doing great then went through a slump now back to logging in and all that. Hate those slumps for whatever reason they happen.

Have pretty much isolated my stomach upsets to Melatonin but need to know why I have insomnia when I've never had this much trouble sleeping before.
Happy to say I'm staying in the 3 teens now. That's my pattern if I can loose down to the next level I may go up but will eventually come down to that 10 lb level and stay there awhile. I'm hoping some diet changes I'm making right now will make that stay short as I really want to be 299 sooner then later. Then the goal will be 280.
My son's getting married in May and I'd like to be 250 by then but that's a stretch. It embarrassing for "children" when they have a grossly obese parent but I really wasn't in the mindset to do much about it until recently.
I also believe the better you sleep the less cravings you have for carbs so I really need to find out why I'm not sleeping well and or find a solution that is natural. I have sleep apnea and use a machine but that doesn't seem to be enough.

    Thanks MoMfan - sometimes I think we actually can. Other times, well we don't need to think about those times - gradually it is coming off and I know we'll all feel better and be able to do more when it is off.

I hit 319.4 this am and wish I could say it was self control but it's illness. I'm just not digesting food well right now. I'm going to try to eat more alkaline foods and am looking into HCL and Pepcin (sp) to help me digest. Think my stomach is going throough aging changes! I'm off to the fruit and veg market - I miss good fresh products in the winter etc.

My highest known weight was 367. This photo is the most recent taken and since I avoid cameras and mirrors I was shocked when I saw this. What must I have been like 40 lb ago? Anyway as Dr. Phil says you can't change something if you don't acknowledge it first. It's a miracle I am for the first time showing my photo here. That's a step in the right direction
