Watching a Dream Come True

Sunday, August 19, 2012

We all have dreams, and admittedly, some are easier to achieve than others. When I saw this, I was moved to tears, and am sure you will be, also.

Oh, how I want to be the kind of person who reaches out to others, and helps make their dreams come true! We all have so much within ourselves that we can share with others...this certainly is inspiring!

God bless you all!

Above All

Friday, November 04, 2011

This is one of those videos that just touches you to the depths of your heart. This young lady, who has been on America's Got Talent, (and made it to the top 10), sings her heart out to the Lord.

Awesome! I know that her tender heart and willingness to serve is pleasing to God. And, it made all of us smile, too!

Enjoy!

"Best Poem"

Saturday, September 24, 2011

Hello my friends! Here is another gem I received today, and thought I would share with you!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

BEST POEM IN THE WORLD ...... I was shocked, confused, bewildered As I entered Heaven's door, Not by the beauty of it all, Nor the lights or its decor. But it was the folks in Heaven Who made me sputter and gasp-- The thieves, the liars, the sinners, The alcoholics and the trash. There stood the kid from seventh grade Who swiped my lunch money twice. Next to him was my old neighbor Who never said anything nice. Bob, who I always thought Was rotting away in hell, Was sitting pretty on cloud nine, Looking incredibly well. I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal? I would love to hear Your take. How'd all these sinners get up here? God must've made a mistake 'And why is everyone so quiet, So somber - give me a clue.' 'Hush, child,' He said, 'They’re all in shock. No one thought they'd be seeing you.' JUDGE NOT!! Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car. Every saint has a PAST.... Every sinner has a FUTURE! Now it's your turn!!! Share this poem. Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - It has no point!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I'm Not Ashamed

Thursday, September 22, 2011

This was sent to me today, and I simply have to pass it on and share it with you.

BY A 15 yr. OLD SCHOOL KID Who got an A+ for this entry, Since the Pledge of Allegiance And The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most Public schools anymore Because the word 'God' is mentioned..... A kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School prayer: "New Pledge of Allegiance" ~~~~Now I sit me down in school where praying is against the rule for this great nation under God finds mention of Him very odd. If scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, that's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd. It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on. Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.' Not ashamed. Pass this on.

As over 200 third graders and their teachers stood in the middle of our high school football field and their parents or other family members stood in the bleachers, our school superintendent, two principals, and members of our school board as well as two county commissioners in attendance...all stood and said the Pledge of Allegiance and listened/sang God Bless America before the start of our "Memory Walk" for Alzheimers. It was beautiful!!!
No one there hesitated or refused to do it.
Praise God!!!

BTW: This was at a public school in southwestern Pennsylvania!!!

So so true....What is wrong, has become right and what is right, has become wrong! This country needs true revival and Christians need to live a holy, righteous life, not compromising or adopting the world's ways.
