Tae Bo Anyone?

Friday, April 30, 2010

I tried Tae Bo last night for the first time. It was definately a work out, but I don't know if it's for me. I like Zumba better. I can;t keep up with him, he moves so stinking fast. I will try it again though, maybe I'll be able to keep up after I do it a few times. After all, I couldn't keep up with the Zumba instructor at first either. Anyway, I burned a bunch of calories. Wish me luck!

I love Tae Bo, and yes, it does take a lot to keep up even for me. Some of the moves are advanced so if I lose track I just do jumping jacks or something until I can catch up.
Keep it up, it's a GREAT workout!

Trying to stay focused

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

I have been really trying to eat better and doing a pretty fair amount of exercise, at least for me and there hasn't been any more movement on the scale. I can tell my clothes are fitting a little less snug though, but a drop of a pound or two would greatly encourage me. I keep reminding myself that at least it's not going up! If AI stay on this path, I WILL EVENTUALLY LOSE A FEW POUNDS. Stick with it girl you can do it!!!

I hear weight loss has been .5 here and .5 there. BUT like you, I've noticed a change in how my clothes fit. This too is a success, so celebrate it! Eventually the scale will reflect the hard work! emoticon

All Revved Up

Friday, April 23, 2010

I absolutley know that I must excercise. Without it I simply will not lose any weight. Last week I started taking a walk every day on my lunch. This week, I have done the same and added some exercise in the evening too. My gym membership expired and I don;t have the money to renew it, so I rented a couple DVD's from the library and I bought a Dancing with the Stars DVD. I did 35 minuted of it tonight and although I can feel all the muscles in my legs I feel so energized.

Like everyone, I lack motivation, but I read an article on here a couple of days ago and it basically said "start small, you can't go from being a couch potato to running a marathon in a week" and that makes sense, so I have vowed to take a walk every day on my lunch. It takes about 10-15 minutes, it gets me outside, which is a stress buster in itself and it makes me feel as though I have done some excercise each day, just that short walk. I also reserved a couple of excercise videos from the library, for free. So that's what I'm going to try, some small steps that will hopefully reap greater rewards. Wish me luck.

I'm back...

Friday, July 03, 2009

As you all know, this weight loss thing is a constant battle. I fell of the wagon a couple of weeks ago and starting Monday I'm going back onto Phase 1 of the South Beach. I got really discouraged because I discovered that my scale was not working properly and what I thought I weighed was not accurate. So overnight I gained 14 pounds, so I just mentally said the heck with all this exercising and trying to eat right. I'm just going to eat what I want when I want it. Well here I am back over 200 pounds again. Monday is going to be a fresh start. I have already started stocking up on some of the SB essentials. Wish me luck everyone...

I've fallen off that same wagon a few times myself, and I know it's no fun!! It's a good thing we have Sparkpeople to help us climb back up! Next week will be a challenge, but we'll get through it together! I'll be praying for you.
